Greater than one weekI compared with another brands thermometer and they were about +/- .5 degrees from each other. I would purchase again if my battery dies.

> 3 dayAll was good as with all thermometers of this type. Battery did not last all that long. Could been a fluke. Or it just eats batteries. Other than that works well.

21-11-2024Do not use for the rectum and mouth. It tastes weird. Other than that it works just fine

> 3 dayThis thermometer takes temperatures and reports it on the screen. I used another digital thermometer to check and the temperature seems to be within reasonable range of the other digital one. I used it orally and also under the armpit. The packaging says it can be used rectally but Id like to pass on that. I could. But I wont because once I use it rectally, then I dont think I can subsequently use it orally knowing where it had been. It comes in a transparent case and battery was included in the thermometer.

> 3 dayADDED AFTER 5 MONTHS: Tried to use this thermometer 5 months after receiving the replacement and only 2-3 uses. Totally dead -- no sign of activity when pressing the button. While the second one received (see below) worked well initially, its not of much use as a home thermometer if it lasts only a few months with very little use. After two failures, I am not interested in a replacement, so I will shop for a more reliable and durable replacement. The thermometer was purchased in January to replace an old dead thermometer. First needed use was in mid-April, after the Amazon return window. The thermometer appears to read accurately, but there are no beeps. The product has a 1 year warranty. However, I tried the URL for customer support, but it just leads to an order page with no information on how to contact for product support. I searched Amazon thoroughly for instructions, but could find no help in contacting the vendor of an Amazon store directly. I read all of the customer questions and answers on Amazon for this product; several noted defective beeping, and the response from the seller was always to contact them and a replacement would be provided. BUT, no contact information. So, I am stuck with a non-returnable, non-refundable, defective thermometer with no information available on how to contact the guarantor of the warranty. I will certainly avoid purchasing from this vendor. UPDATE: I was finally able to contact the seller through Amazon Customer Service; the seller promptly replaced the defective item. The replacement thermometer is accurate, convenient ,and I can hear the beeps. It would have been an initial five-star review of the ability to contact the seller had been easier to discover.

> 3 dayMy family was sick, and I couldnt find our good thermometer, so I ordered a backup. I rated it a 3 star because the button didnt always feel like it pushed in to start the thermometer, so I usually had to double-check with several readings to make sure.

> 3 dayIt worked well for about a week. I was sick and used it frequently. The screen went dull, seemed the battery was already running out with a week of use. I returned it as is now unreadable.

> 3 dayI have just changed an old-fashioned thermometer with this one. This one is much quicker to get the result and much easier to read the result. And its price is even lower than an old-fashioned thermometer. What another example of technological improvement! By the way, there is a simple but effective manual included.
