Thule RoundTrip Bike Duffel

> 3 dayLove the bag. Stylish, spacious, well designed. Picking nits, but I wish: 1) the structured side tool compartment were bigger, to hold bike lights, small torque wrench set, bike computer, and other gizmos. 2) there was some different type of storage in the interior for loose items (I ended up using a small packing cube bag for nutrition - gels, electrolyte tabs, snack bars, etc). The bottomless compartments are great for clothing, water bottles, and bulky items, it not for the small things. They fall to the bottom and slide around the base of the bag. Luckily there’s plenty of space on the “helmet” side for a road helmet plus a small bag for nutritional things.

> 3 dayYeah, it’s expensive. But it’s not just some duffel bag, it’s a high quality, use specific, piece of luggage. I use it every time I go biking. It holds and organizes everything I need for just a daily run to the trails or an out of state trip for several days of riding. I don’t have to dig around trying to find my gloves or the light attachment or the elbow pads because they all have a specific place and I know right where all of it is every time. You won’t regret this purchase.

> 3 dayI have several cycling duffle bags (aka rain bags) from three different manufacturers. The Thule Roundtrip is by far the best designed and the most useful. I would like to comment on a 2-star review left by another, who said that it is a HUGH design flaw that the compartments in the bag do not have bottoms, so that an item can fall out the bottom of a compartment and then move around the bottom of the duffle. This is hardly a design flaw and I find this a very odd reason to give the duffle a 2-star rating. A compartment can easily be lined with a container manufactured from an old plastic water bottle or jug. Just pick something that is about 3 inches across and trim it to about 6 inches deep. Such containers are perfect for storing stuff like a bike computer, taillight, headlight, or snack. (See photos.)

> 3 dayIt’s a good bag. It’s seems pretty durable and it is convenient for keeping all my cycling gear together. It’s good enough that I’m buying a replacement for the one that was stolen.

> 3 dayI love this bag. I like to keep everything organized and this was exactly what I was looking for. It fits a ton of stuff and everything is nice and neat. I wish that the shoe holder were designed a bit differently as I have big feet and therefore big shoes (47/48). I can still get them in OK - so this is a small gripe. I took a star off because of the price - its a hefty price for a bag. However, I will say that it is solid, I dont mind paying for quality and if it holds up I will change my mind on dinging it a star.

> 3 dayGreat to have everything I need ready to throw in a trunk, load a bike, and go. Room for several sets of pads, many gloves, extra tools, etc. I keep my shoes in a golf shoe bag due to the sand and dirt, but everything else goes in this. A bit expensive but worth it.
