> 24 hourThese hooks are great! Ive used similar C-style hooks before in my garage. I moved and in the new garage a standard C hook wasnt holding things reliably (theyd fall off) so I wanted to try an enclosed hook. I got these and they are awesome. The spring enclosure is far higher quality and feels more durable than I expected or was even hoping for. These are really well assembled! The hook size is a bit big for holiday lights, though you could use them for that.

> 24 hourPredrill starter holes for these hooks and installation will go much easier. We ended up snapping off two of them trying to get them screwed in deep enough. Says theyll hold 40 pounds. Well see. Im hanging a flowering pot on one of them.

> 24 hourLove that theres a safety buckle so that your string does not slip off in the event theres wind to move your lights around.

> 24 hourThis is exactly what we needed to hang up our string lights on our back porch. After drilling a tiny hole, they screwed right in. They also come with drywall anchors if you are screwing into drywall, but we did not need those. Each book has a little latch to provide extra support and secure items neatly in place. These were very easy to use and sturdy!

> 24 hourI had never seen these before, so when I saw them on Amazon I jumped. Im not disappointed. I thought they might be cheap or something, of not be up to the task, but they work great! I use them to help with decorative lighting on my back patio. Im sure Ill come up with other uses for them, as well. They have terrific utility. Highly recommended!

> 24 hourI pre-drilled holes into the wooden soffit to install the hooks so I could string up my Christmas lights. Once the holes were drilled, I started inserting the hooks by hand; then, I used some pliers to screw them in. They are sturdy, and the spring on the hook is stiff, so it took a little effort to push the wire through; that gave me confidence that the wire would not just fall out because of an unclosed spring. I also hung a windchime on one of the hooks, we got quite the wind storm (which damaged the windchime a little ), and the windchime never came loose.

> 24 hourHooks themselves are very nice quality. Comes with 20 hooks and drywall anchors if using that way. The spring loaded clip works like a carabiner and has a good amount of spring so it will definitely hold anything you dont want coming loose in the wind. State that they are rated for 40 lbs and they seem robust enough to match the sellers stated rating.

> 24 hourI love that these hooks have latches on them! They seem to be made of quality materials and feel very sturdy. They were easy to install and now my Christmas lights will stay put! The latches are sturdy and spring loaded. I highly recommend!
