> 24 hourSimple as an outlet to install. Seems to charge devices well, according to the power advertised.

> 24 hourVery happy with it - as everything moves to USB-C this is very useful. The cable it came with has actually come in handy as well which I didnt expect

> 24 hourLikes: 1) it has a 30W Power Delivery USB-C port and 30W USB-A port (no PD). 2) the power wires are secured with clamp terminals that are designed to be easier to connect than standard clamp terminals. The Expected: When both ports are in use, the C port is limited to 15W and the A port is limited to 10W. These limits are in the spec and are necessary to keep the total power under 30W. Dislike: It appears that the 30W PD port gets knocked back to 15W even if a USB-A cord is simply plugged in, even if nothing is attached. This is NOT okay. Whats worse, it appears that you must unplug both the C and the A ports before the C port returns to 30W. The effect is a little more subtle as it seems like it only comes into play for certain USB-A cords... like maybe the outlet is sensing the impedance of the cord? What is really annoying is that the PD port doesnt reset to 30W until BOTH ports are unplugged. My outlet is installed behind some wall-mounted furniture so I need a type C and type A extension cable to access the ports... with this configuration, the 30W PD USB-C port essentially does not exist since I cannot unplug and replug cords to reset the PD port. Essentially I have two low power outputs. If you can access the outlet easily, then this quirk would not be a problem.

> 24 hour3-4 years ago, I bought Topgreener 2 USB-A with traditional 3-prong power sockets. Those USB-A ports are still working till today. So when I decided to look for a power socket that comes with both USB-A and USB-C ports, this becomes a natural choice. Reason for wanting a USB-C port is that newer devices are moving towards USB-C interface. I installed and replaced 2 of these. For one of them, it still protruded out a little as the space in that wall outlet is pretty tight. For the other unit, it flushed with the surrounding wall. Tested them and both USB-A and USB-C ports are functional. I have started migrating traditional wall sockets (with no USB ports) towards those that come with USB ports as most devices such as cell phones, tablets, etc are USB interface based.

> 24 hourI bought 5 thinking Ill throw them in strategic places around the house where I could plug my laptop into without the wall wart .. except I was too hasty and didnt read that it will NOT charge a type-c laptop. Primary reason for buying is gone. Well, at least I know new devices - phones, iPads etc are probably going to usb3 type c so go begin to replace standard outlets on kitchen island. After pulling out standard outlet, notice that a) its in a series so 2 cables to deal with, and b) the box is SUPER SHALLOW .. and the top greener .. its twice the depth of a standard outlet, and wont even fit in the box - which has to be shallow as its already flush to the inside of the island which has drawers etc and cant not go any deeper. Then I look at wall outlet candidates and realize most if not all will have 2 wires to deal with, and with the wires coming in and getting stuffed into a standard work box, this unit is a REAL tight fit .. so best be prepared to do a lot of wire reworking and possibly replacing the work boxes as well if theres room to. Right now Im not sure the effort is worth the gain or the $ for these and am thinking of returning the other 4 unopened.
