I know have 4 of these outlets throughout my house. This one is a bit pricier than others. They are great for counter outlets and in the bedroom. I feel like these will become standard one day. They are very useful. It was easy to install and happy to have added another one in our home.

The TOPGREENER TU21558AC 5.8A Ultra-High Speed USB-A/C Charger 120V Wall Outlet does exactly what its supposed to do. However, buy some 4+ star rated USB-C to USB-C cables separately. The included USB-C to USB-C cable failed after a few months of everyday charging.

Good value. However I did not realize that the outlets were tamper resistant. I swear tamper resistant plugs should be renamed adult proof. They require too much force to to plug things in and out. I wish a non-tamper resistant model was available

The tamper proof portion of the regular outlet broke and won’t allow plug to be inserted. It was the first time trying that portion of the outlet and so I don’t know if it arrived broken or broke while trying to use it. Whichever, it didn’t last one week. Would not recommend !!!

This was my seventh order of this item over the last several years as I have installed them in multiple locations in my home and in my three children’s homes. This most recent order did not operate properly after installation as the Tamper Resistant feature caused it to be very difficult to fully insert a plug even after multiple attempts. I reached out to the seller by email and they promptly responded with an offer to provide a replacement that they would test before sending. I just received the replacement. What more could you expect? These are very functional receptacles as long as you have room in the outlet box as all of these USB type receptacles are deeper than simple outlets.

Easy to install as any other outlet. However, after about two months the USB-C port stopped working. The USB-A works fine. Disappointed to have spent so much on an outlet that has now lost the functionality I bought it for over a standard $3 outlet. Going forward I will probably stick to established brands such as eaton or leviton.

My contractor insisted I get a couple of these to install in our kitchen. He was right. If you pair these with a couple 6-9 inch (dont get a whole foot) USB cords you can charge whenever youre in the kitchen or around it without cluttering up the counter or having the outlet piece. The USB-C in particular has a shockingly fast charge time that exceeds everything else in my house. When I really need my iPhone charged quickly I do it here and in 15-20 minutes Im probably at 75% its incredible. The tiny downside is if you plug other stuff in here that has a larger ac adapter, like an Amazon echo for instance, it might block the USB ports.

3-4 years ago, I bought Topgreener 2 USB-A with traditional 3-prong power sockets. Those USB-A ports are still working till today. So when I decided to look for a power socket that comes with both USB-A and USB-C ports, this becomes a natural choice. Reason for wanting a USB-C port is that newer devices are moving towards USB-C interface. I installed and replaced 2 of these. For one of them, it still protruded out a little as the space in that wall outlet is pretty tight. For the other unit, it flushed with the surrounding wall. Tested them and both USB-A and USB-C ports are functional. I have started migrating traditional wall sockets (with no USB ports) towards those that come with USB ports as most devices such as cell phones, tablets, etc are USB interface based.
