totes Unisex Auto Open J-Handle Stick ECO Umbrella

I love that this has the pop of small compact umbrellas, but the size and durability of actual good umbrellas. My dog also loved the handle and chewed it up some, the jerk.

I want my money back. This item has arrived broken. Its too expensive to send it back

It works very well, but the pictures are a bit misleading in terms of handle material. It appears in the pictures to be some sort of dark, brushed metal, but it is in fact some kind of soft coating that looks a lot worse than pictured.

This is my second purchase of this umbrella (some moron stole my other one) and it works well and looks good. It isnt over-sized or too small and fits my need just right. Every gentleman should have one of these.

This is a durable umbrella. It has held up to torrential rains better than any I have owned.

Does its job....keeps most of the rain off. Seems to be a well made umbrella, although 68 year old umbrella my grandfather used is substantially sturdier....nothing is made that well anymore.

This Totes Eco Umbrella is worth the price. It opens and closes easily. Its lightweight but very strong. The Multi Dash pattern is even prettier in person. I havent gotten a chance to try it out in rain yet, but I took it out on a day where there were very strong winds. A lesser umbrella would have been turned inside out, but this one held up. It comes with a lifetime warranty, and according to the Totes website, just two pieces rather than the whole umbrella would need to be returned and a $5 shipping and handling fee is required. I appreciate that the company stands behind their products. Highly recommend. Update (4/10/2023): Got a chance to test it on a rainy, windy Florida afternoon, and I still think this is a great umbrella. I like the 40 size too. Good coverage for me and can even fit two if needed.

What makes this umbrella so much better than one you might pick up on a street corner for $5.00 when youre caught in a rain storm is: its overall sturdy construction; its extra light weight; and the water-shedding property of its cover material. This is a full-size umbrella that is big enough for two. Ill add updates to the review as we get more seriously into the rainy season. UPDATE May 2018: Almost two years on and this umbrella has performed as well as promised. Opens quickly. No canopy blowouts. Dries quickly. Structure still intact with no bending, breaking, etc. Definitely a superior product. UPDATE September 2018: My Old Reliable was stolen from a mandatory umbrella rack in a Washington DC museum. I was ticked, but more heartbroken. Can you really love an umbrella? Yeah, its definitely possible. I received my lamented lost one through the Amazon Vine Program at no charge. If you suspect that recipients of free stuff have to write positive reviews of said stuff, let me disabuse you. You dont have to--but I did because the umbrella was so superior to anything at the price point that Id ever seen. So Mr./Ms. Skeptic--listen up. I just got another, identical Totes Auto Open and paid full price. Im thankful that theyre still making the identical product.

Im so happy with this umbrella! It doesnt get soaking wet and water does not get all over my car and clothes! I love the crook handle too!
