Greater than one weekI just recirved the umbrella. It looks strong and beautiful but the automatic button does not work. I need to press the automatic button to release the lock and then open it by hand.

> 3 dayDoes its job....keeps most of the rain off. Seems to be a well made umbrella, although 68 year old umbrella my grandfather used is substantially sturdier....nothing is made that well anymore.

Greater than one weekMy wife and I have been through beaucoup umbrellas through the years. We live in the southwest, where it is mostly very hot, and we use umbrellas for moveable shade[we are walkers]. But when it comes to rain - it pours! Heretofore my favorite umbrella was a gift from the Tuscany Hotel & Casino. But this Totes Signature Auto Open now surpasses it[Although it remains to be seen, if it too, can hold up to the test of time. As this Tote umbrella looks to be of high quality in appearance and the feel of it; plus, its simplicity in use - I see it competing easily.] What I like most IS its simplicity and ease of use. Its also just the right length for my wife to use as a cane[she just add a rubber attachment to its tip]. Its size is just right when it comes to function and use. And its use is simplicity itself. Just press the button and it unfolds w/o hassle. To close it, manually pull down, and it easily slide to click close. Now just twist the folds o9f the umbrella into place, again no hassle.

> 3 dayNo more shaking off water like crazy before pulling my umbrella into my car or walking onto my hardwood floors when coming in from the rain! Seriously I didnt realize how much water my umbrellas themselves carried on them -- but this one is GREAT for quickly getting in and out of the car...it really saves times and a huge mess. I travel in and out of several buildings a day for work, so this is awesome. I dont think I can go back to a regular umbrella now, the water will annoy me. That being said, the construction of the umbrella is pretty decent quality. The handle is a grippy rubbery surface, easier to hold onto especially when your hand is freezing cold and wet. Size wise, it is not gigantic -- the description makes it seem huge like a golf umbrella, but its about the size youd expect from a stick umbrella: bigger than a fold-up compact model, but not ginormous. It would be comfortable for two people to walk under, or perfect for one person who doesnt want to get wet at ALL (me). It has an automatic opening feature, manual close. Its definitely the umbrella I go for now every time -- the fact that its not compact doesnt matter at all, because the water repellent thing is so awesome it could be the size of a car bumper and Id still carry it...(that being said, its a very normal size to carry, and very lightweight, actually). Im genuinely afraid somebody is going to steal my umbrella now. Its very steal-worthy. Off to write my name on it in permanent marker...

18-11-2024This is a nice, sturdy umbrella thats lightweight and provides coverage for one person. I especially liked the auto-open feature, though I would have preferred an auto-close feature as well. Im not sure I really noticed the NeverWet technology, though it would be convenient to not drip all over the place when walking between my office and the subway. Overall, this is fine, but nothing special.

> 3 dayThis is a nice light weight umbrella. My son actually took it from me. He really likes the shape of the handle. I prefer more sturdy umbrellas. This one will work great under normal conditions. If its very windy out in not sure how it would hold up.

> 3 dayCall me an optimist for ordering an umbrella in California, in the summertime, in the midst of an historic drought, but I had not been able to find an umbrella with the classic bent handle (which makes for easy carrying), and I was intrigued by the idea of the NeverWet coating. The umbrella opens smoothly with the push of a button, closes to a slim, compact profile, and based on a little testing with a garden hose, the NeverWet coating works quite well.

Greater than one weekThis is a durable umbrella. It has held up to torrential rains better than any I have owned.
