Sturdy and washable

After 20+ years of using my old faithful travel bag that has seen better days I finally broke down and purchased this bag as a replacement. Now I wish I did this years ago (sorry old faithful!) This bag is very spacious and has multiple pockets to help organize your stuff. Dont know if this one will last 20 years, but Im sure to get my moneys worth out of it. I think if its full expanded and loaded it might be too big to qualify as a carry on, but simply dont stuff it to the max and all will be fine - I had no problem using this as a carry-on.

Well made, sturdy canvas construction and light weight. Carried it throughout Southeast Asia for almost a month without incident. Plenty of pocket and an overall solid duffel. I made the selection for two resons. I was concerned about the tight dimension and weight restrictions for carry ons on the Asian airlines I flew. 15 pounds for a month clothing wasnt much and 8 X 9 X 15 isnt much of an allowance. Nominally the duffel would work. I failed to consider the expansion factor. Once stuffed with clothes the duffel stretched beyond the limits. Once loaded the bag wouldnt pass the airlines test. I was able to sweet talk it aboard but, another agent might have stopped me from boarding. Checking the bag wasnt an option due to very tight connection times when the bag could not be checked in. With the one size caveat Id recommend this duffel.

Bought it for frequent trips out town where i was only going to be gone for 1 to 3 days at a time. Perfect size.

Sturdy and washable

The bag is good for short trips. Has a lot of great features and plenty of pockets. The expandability is a big plus. For me, it is just the right size to carry work clothes and dress clothes for those overnight trips that you never know what to pack, so you pack a little of everything. It allows you to always be prepared for the unexpected.

This is a great bag. The amount of pockets is perfect for me. It looks really cool and is very spacious. Definitely good for a weeklong trip. Only negative is, because I’ve had it for 2 years some of the seams are starting to come apart so I’ll definitely have to buy a new one in 6 months. For the price though, it was a very good buy. But don’t expect to have this bag for more than 3 years.

Bought this bag for a trip to Philly for a night, and it fit enough luggage for me and my gf, slippers and all. The bag itself is light, although very sturdy and well-made. The fabric is a slightly water-resistant fabric that is thick enough for water to not seep in (it was a rather rainy day), and all my luggage stayed dry. Zippers are thick and not flimsy, and slides easily across. Numerous compartments to store stuff in, and can be zipped up to be smaller or unzipped to be wider. The strap feels comfortable, and is easy to adjust and remove. The bottom of the bag has rubberized spike-patterned squares on all 4 corners so you can place it down without getting it dirty. Overall a great bag, very durable but light, and looks absolutely wonderful.

This is a preliminary review based on having just received my bag and not having used it yet. I will update after some use. I needed four bags for hauling an assortment of items to and from trade shows. I selected these based on the description and reviews. My preference was for black bags but the difference between the “Toupons Travel Duffel Bag for Men & Women 47L Overnight Weekend Bag (Black-New)” and the “Toupons Canvas Travel Tote Luggage Mens Weekender Duffle Bag, Black” was not clear, so I ordered one of each for evaluation, intending to return one and order three more of the better (for my purposes) bag. The two bags were identical in style. Both were solid black in color but different fabrics. The “black” bag was made of what appears to be cotton canvas and the “black-new” bag was made of what appears to be a heavy nylon material. According to the seller the “black-new” bag is “water-resister material.” I did not want to have to research and purchase bags again in a couple of months, so after reading the negative reviews I inspected my bags very carefully upon receipt. Both bags appeared well made. Both were fully lined. All seams were bound and there were no raw fabric edges. All zippers on both bags were size 10 coil zippers. I was impressed by the number of zippered pockets. In addition to the expandable large center compartment there were two decent sized pockets – one on each end, two pockets on the front, one pocket on the back, and one inside the main compartment on the back – all zippered. There were also two open pockets inside the main compartment on the front. I preferred the appearance of the canvas fabric over the nylon, but decided that the nylon was more practical for my purposes. I ended up returning the “black” bag and ordering three additional “black-new” bags.

It seems to be of reasonable quality. It’s a nice size. Great for a carry on or weekend bag. I wasn’t expecting much, but it turned out to be perfect. Looks really classy too.
