> 3 dayI bought these umbrellas because of their high marks here, and I was very surprised to find just how bad they were. It wasnt just one issue, either. - They are extremely fragile. Both of my umbrellas broke in similar ways. I leaned one against a wall. It slid over, and the button broke off, making it impossible to open/close. The other fell off my lap, and the top broke into pieces. Both were unusable within a few weeks of being bought. - Even from the start, they were not sturdy and would be blown around by the wind. They turned inside out very easily. They also werent sealed well, and rain would drip through onto my head when using them. - They are quite difficult to lock into a closed position, although this would be forgivable if not for the dealbreakers I already listed. I dont know why my experience seems to be so much worse than others, but these are probably the worst umbrellas Ive bought. A total waste of money.

Greater than one weekAfter having gone through several junk umbrellas that werent as advertised, we bought two of these from TradMall based on other reviews. The umbrellas are very high-quality with fine construction. They work perfectly. Theyre large when open, but fold into a small, easily carried item. The construction is robust - 10 strong fiberglass ribs instead of 6 or 8, beautifully designed and comfortable handle. And they come with a lifetime free replacement warranty. I highly recommend these. TradMall does business the old fashioned way, and well buy from them again.

> 3 dayJust as many others have said, when you use the button on this umbrella to close it, its a bit scary, and although I was sure I would be strong enough to push it all the way closed, I fear Ill need to press it down onto the floor/sidewalk, pavement, etc., in order to close it, in the process getting either the floor and/or myself wet. I was aware of these difficulties from other reviewers, but I do like both the size and the color (blue), and I was simply unable to find a compact umbrella that would open and close easily. The one I lost opened automatically (though not so dramatically), but easily closed manually. Why is no one making such an umbrella at a reasonable price any more? I havent used them yet, so cant judge their durability. The handle is reasonably comfortable, but it would be better if it were a little longer. Thankfully, the button needs some pressure to activate; otherwise, I could see myself losing an eye if it accidentally closed while my head was under it.

> 3 dayI like these umbrellas at first glance. They are easy to open and seem to have strong spines. The umbrellas were a little heavier than I expected I am assuming because of the extra spines. Probably my biggest complaint right now is that they are hard to close.

> 3 dayThe umbrella color matches what is shown. They are sturdy and a good size. The mechanism for opening and closing works well.
