TurboTax Home & Business Federal + e-File + State 2010 - [Old Version]

We have used this for many years to do our taxes. It is a huge improvement over trying to negotiate forms without guidance and is a great time saver if you keep your records in digital form. We do not make use of the import from Quicken feature, since our categories are arranged for our budgeting purposes and not by tax form line. My only persistent complaints are the following: 1) Customer service (though improved more recently) is still not quickly available--even for questions about interpreting TurboTax guidance. The program is easy to understand for most usual questions, but some are ambiguous and can prompt one to e.g., enter a value twice unintentionally. 2) accuracy: problems here are extremely rare, but they happen. There was a problem in 2012 or 2013 where the program altered an amount when transferring to the state return (it was a real calculation error). Most errors are due to misinterpretation of the Easy Step guidance questions. This could be averted easily if Intuit would include warnings and clarifications for likely points of confusion. Unfortunately, most problems occur on more obscure forms or less common deductions and credits. If you have a very straight forward, simple tax picture, this program will be wonderful. If not, just keep your antennae up and review all forms before filing!

Ive been using Turbo Tax to do my yearly home and business income tax returns for several years now. Turbo Tax is easy to use and it helps you get the maximum return possible. I had different accountants for many years, and paid plenty of money for their services. As far as Im concerned, Turbo Tax makes accountants obsolete.

I needed a past years tax software to help with a clients missed return. Glad to find this one online at a cheap price

This is still a great tax software product! I wish there was more competition to choose from, but this one has worked for me for several years now. Since I am not good at doing taxes, business and personal, this is great for me. I like having my hand held. I once did my taxes with a CPA while at the same time I did the same thing with the Turbo Tax software. My CPA was able to save me about $10 more in taxes than Turbo Tax which didnt seem to be a significant difference for me since my CPA was costing me over $200, so Ive switched to only Turbo Tax. I like this product!

I dont know what is wrong with Intuit, but for the second year in a row I have purchased TurboTax Home and Business, had to take more than three hours waiting on the phone,talking with support, downloading removing and reinstalling programs, only to find out that out that the program doesnt work and they will be sending me a new disc to see if that works. I hope I can finish my taxes, but it is almost March now, and Im concerned about TurboTaxs ability to produce a product that works. It always seems full of problems, and I dont like the interface, often having to go to the forms to fill them out properly, and then having to check the result to ensure that TurboTax didnt duplicate anything, which it has done on more than one occasion.

We have prepared our own taxes for over 3 decades - and ours is far from a simple return, having had numerous rental houses / depreciation schedules / small businesses etc..... Turbo Tax is easy to use and this seller offered it at a significant discount - VERY HAPPY CAMPER here!

I picked this up to do my taxes this year. It is a great product and it really lets you cover all of your bases to make sure you have done everything right. It includes a free efile for federal taxes and comes with free state software, however you have to pay 19.99 to efile your state taxes. I saved a lot of money too by buying it through amazon. I will be buying this again next year!

I cannot believe that I purchased TurboTax Home & Business and it is totally useless. First of all, when installing it went through a plethora of updates. Each time it attempted an update, the program crashed. I was able to overcome this by not clicking on the OK button and letting the updates run, in spite of the program asking for validation of the update installs. Once the updates were seemingly complete, the program froze and required a hard reset to return to a condition in which it allowed me to startup. I then spent over an hour entering my data from W-2, 1099s, deductions, etc., and then the Save option was grayed out. HOW CAN INTUIT ALLOW SUCH A PIECE OF GARBAGE TO BE RELEASED???!!! I have used TurboTax every year for the past 6 years. This is absolutely unacceptable. This is not just a matter of Quality Control problems, this borders on fraud! I am sure they were rushing to get this out and trying to hit certain revenue numbers, yadah, yadah, but if I were a shareholder of this company, I would hold the CEO to task on this one!! I am sending this back to Amazon for a refund and am going to find another way to do my taxes this year. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER again will I use TurboTax. DO NOT BUY. And, Amazon, if you read these messages, you should send all of your inventory of TurboTax back to Intuit for a refund. I am surprised at you, Amazon Buyers. Dont you test products before you sell them????

I love Turbo tax. It makes filing my taxes SO much easier. I can easily download my information from Quicken and BOOM! I am pretty much done! What a relief! I have always been completely terrified of doing my own taxes because, even though I am an avid reader, I just cant read tax forms,,,my brain shuts down...panic, perhaps? :) Somehow, with Turbo Tax and the way it is set up with bright colors, graphics, one question at a time and additional information/clarification as well as a community forum...it just feels more doable. I have been using Turbo Tax for at least 5 years. I have a small business too so this is a lifesaver!

Ok my friend told me I needed to crack open the wallet and buy this program,you wont be dissapointed, he said. Im self employed, nothing big I do coaching and training soccer as a source of income while I go back to school, so I needed the buisness side of this program. It was easy and simple, a lot of help for those things I was unsure about. It walked me through the entire return, Schedules SE, C, and profit and loss form from the total of my car that I used for work. I can not say I would not have found all the deductions it did, but I will say my tax return was significantly larger than in the previous years that I did it by hand. Im buying my firned a nice lunch.
