> 3 dayTorbo Tax 2010 was just I expected from the last 15 years of Turbo Tax. It has up to date info that makes filing easy. I did an extension this year and did not buy it until August so it was alot cheaper than buying it in Feb.

05-06-2025I purchased TT 2010, cheap, in late 2012 and entered my accountant generated data, for a test of TT against my accountant. Turbo Tax came out with the same tax, which was the upside. The downside was, I qualified for two credits that TT would not allow, I put them elsewhere, just for test purposes, but TT would not allow the override of those fields. If this had not been a test, TT would have caused me more tax. I will be trying this again with 2011 tax year returns.

> 3 dayI find TurboTax Home & Business to be very easy to use. However I did not find a way to have my complete return reviewed. That would be nice to have an expert look over the whole thing.

> 3 dayTurboTax makes a very complicated process easy. It takes you through entering tax data step by step in a simplified manner, and provides tips and advice each step along the way. Then it calculated your tax, choosing the right forms and making decisions about the best way to complete the forms, when there is more than one way to do so. I recommend Turbo Tax for simple to moderately complex returns. (I think you will be money ahead to have highly complex returns reviewed by a professional - no $79 computer program is going to outwit a trained professional.) One word of caution - the TurboTax front cover says Includes Federal and State Taxes. What it means is that TurboTax fills out the state forms. There is a substantial extra charge (about $40) for efiling the state form (Federal efiling is free). Of course, you can always send in the state return by regular US mail.

> 3 dayIve been using TurboTax for over 12 years now and this one is even easier to use than before. I have a business that we started 2 years ago, and the Home & Business 2010 is great. From the little details to the what I would call more complex ... TurboTax takes you through it all step by (easy) step. The option for Audit Defense has been a great thing too. So far Ive not needed to put it into action and ask for help, but the comfort of knowing its there in case I need it is wonderful.

> 3 dayIve used TurboTax for over 25 years. This year they seems to have changed their business model with respect to the ability to do a state tax return. As stated in the product description and printed on the box, one (1) state software download is included. In past years, this one state software download would process more than one state tax return within that state. However this year, when actually using the product, it will only allow you to process a single tax return for that state. In the past, I have always done my own and my kids returns - both Federal and State (all in the same state). I first processed my own Federal and State returns. When I proceeded to do my kids returns, I could process all three Federal returns without a hitch. In order to process their State returns (all in the same state as my own), it demanded another state download for each kids return at a cost of $39.95 each. They have apparently changed their business model; and this is just not right! Im very disappointed!

> 3 dayIt was not as user friendly as the previous versions. Entering data was confusing, especially for contributions and donations. Data did not seem to flow freely from 2009 returns to 2010 files. I had a very difficult time updating. I had to reboot twice before it uploaded the program changes. All in all, I didnt like it because of all the time I wasted trying to make simple entries. They should go back to the way 2009 versions were designed.

> 3 dayI love Turbo tax. It makes filing my taxes SO much easier. I can easily download my information from Quicken and BOOM! I am pretty much done! What a relief! I have always been completely terrified of doing my own taxes because, even though I am an avid reader, I just cant read tax forms,,,my brain shuts down...panic, perhaps? :) Somehow, with Turbo Tax and the way it is set up with bright colors, graphics, one question at a time and additional information/clarification as well as a community forum...it just feels more doable. I have been using Turbo Tax for at least 5 years. I have a small business too so this is a lifesaver!
