Greater than one weekHave used this product for several years without issue. There may be other tax software out there, but with TurboTax, I know how it is laid out and how it operates. When I upgraded to the iPad, I now use the app version which syncs with the cloud and my desktop. I would recommend this item.

> 3 dayI have been using turbo tax for many years now. I even used it before it was bought by Intuit. Since 2000 or so, I like how the previous information can be migrated and how the federal and state tax can be saved as a PDF (for loans, etc.). I havent ventured out using the other tax programs so this is a little biased.

Greater than one weekIm SO happy this software still loaded using Windows 10. I just got a client whos behind in tax filings, and this was the best way to prepare the returns based on the tax code at the time. So far, so good - it loaded, opens & I was able to register it online. WooHoo.

Greater than one weekIt was not as user friendly as the previous versions. Entering data was confusing, especially for contributions and donations. Data did not seem to flow freely from 2009 returns to 2010 files. I had a very difficult time updating. I had to reboot twice before it uploaded the program changes. All in all, I didnt like it because of all the time I wasted trying to make simple entries. They should go back to the way 2009 versions were designed.

> 3 dayHow can you say, I love it for anything related to income taxes. However, it did the job as painlessly as possible.

Greater than one weekIve been using Turbo Tax for years. For whatever reason, I went through the taxes much more quickly this year. I didnt have any problems with installation, nor using the product. (I use TT Home & Business.) I like that I can see last years information next to this years information. One thing Ive always hated is that I have to pay extra to e-file the state form. Overall, I am happy with the product.

> 3 dayThis weekend, I attempted to file my mothers income tax with this software. She had used the TurboTax version for the Taxable Year 2009 as well. However, both versions have one major software flaw, and its a big one: Even though I entered values for capital losses in the software, it did not show in the final version, nor were these capital losses refelected in the tax computations. Effectively, even though capital losses may be carried over indefinitely, my mother would have lost them meaning that (1) she would not have had the benefit of offsetting any capital gains (she sold her home of 35 years and, yes, she did have a large paper gain, even with the $250,000 exclusion for the sale of a home) and (2) even if she did not have a capital gain, $3,000 of capital losses may be utilized per year to offset ordinary income. These capital losses were not reflected in her 2009 tax return, also filed via TurboTax, so she lost that $3,000 deduction. I will have to file an amended return for that year. Fortunately, I was able to download H & R Blocks software so that her return (with the extension) was timely filed today. My biggest concern is this: I have an advanced degree in tax and was able to crunch the numbers in my head. I only use this type of software because it is more convenient than filling out a paper form. And, beside, the IRS prefers electronic filings. But what about those of you who are dependent on this software? Had I used this software, my mother would have owed $15,000 in tax. However, she really owes nothing. Makes me wonder what other little bugs are in this software. STAY AWAY!

> 3 dayI used TaxACT (TA) first for a tax assignment and then used TurboTax (TT) to compare and contrast - about 2 months ago. Back then, TT seemed a little bit more user-friendly than TA. I recall the language of TT was simpler, and the interface was nicer and simpler than TA. Overall, the impression I left with was that TT was simpler to use than TA.

> 3 dayThe Vendor: Fantastic price. Took 3 days to arrive in the mail. The Product: Installed with no problems. I was worried that I would have to pay when I printed or that there would be an issue with activation. No activation, no issues. I have been using TT since 2006. Every year I install the program and import last years tax return data *.tax2009, *.tax2010, *.tax2011, and so on. Then I update the figures. Especially for my 1099 Schedule C Income from my side business activities and now I export from TD Ameritrade a *.txf (Tax eXchange Format) and pull all the trades right into TT. No more individual entries for the 1099-B.

> 3 dayThe seller shipped fast and it is what I ordered. I have used this product last year and it was fine. This year TurboTax seemed to change their questions and layout a little, parts of the product were hard to figure out for sale of investment property. Other than that the product was fine.
