Ive heard a lot of good things about Ubiquiti and had really high hopes that this would replace my current wifi setup. However, it did not live up to expectations to say the least. I get 1Gbps up/down from my ISP. With my current wifi setup I get between 400Mbps up/down so I was at least expecting the same or better from this. Unfortunately, the most I got was 120Mbps down and 60Mbps upload which is way lower than what I now have (this was right next to the AP). The wifi signal also wasnt great in fact it barely covered by flat which is about 70 sq meters and this is advertised that it covers up to 122m. I have to say that I could not place this AP in the middle of the flat so it was going from 1 end to the other. The setup wasnt too easy either. You can either do it through the mobile app or download their software onto your pc/mac. Why not just have a simple UI? Anyway, it took a while before the mobile app discovered the AP and even then, it would be very unresponsive. I tried to set it up multiple times and it worked on and off. After every change, I had to reload the app so it actually shows the AP. It would also always tell me that new firmware is available, no matter how many times I click the update button. In the end, I gave up on the mobile app and tried the desktop one. The desktop app couldnt see the AP at all. To get the app you also have to install Java which is the buggiest software there is...... in the end I gave up, with the poor speeds and wifi range and the extremely poor apps for both mobile and desktop. This AP is way too expensive to have these issues.

Ce point daccès de la gamme Unifi dUbiquiti fournit un excellent débit 2G/5G et une bonne couverture. Jai déployé plusieurs de ces points daccès dans ma maison (avec le même SSID) jai maintenant un réseau WiFi sans couture, mes équipement passent dun AP à lautre en toute transparence. Avec le logiciel Unifi on dispose dun tableau de bord complet de son réseau et de son utilisation.

An amazing Wi-Fi access point, used to use multiple access points around my house to get signal in the bedroom and living room but a single one of these offers high performance Wi-Fi in all rooms including my other rooms in my house which previously were black spots. Got this hooked up to a Cisco RV345 for routing and switching, the Wi-Fi speeds even between walls hits the caps of my internet for speedtest (250mbps) - will probably replace the RV345 soon with a Ubiquiti security gateway and a switch as the UniFi access point has won me over. As others have said it really shows up consumer access point products and isnt for the average consumer - you need a UniFi controller running on a computer on your network for management. The access point cant be used without it, so if you want something that will plug n play this isnt your product, if you want a stable and powerful Wi-Fi network and dont mind getting techie this is for you! Will be getting a second one of these to bring Wi-Fi to my balcony - sadly it wont quite reach due to the solid walls in the building.

Deckt bei mir die ganze Wohnung auf 2 Ebenen ab (2 x 55 qm). Bin sehr zufrieden. Ein Webinterface zur Konfiguration wäre noch toll, da geht inifi aber einen anderen Weg. Aber irgend wie geht es mit der App oder einem PC Tool auch.

Une fois branché, ce dôme wi-fi fonctionne du tonnerre. Ses capacités vont même au-delà de ce que jen attendais... Je ne vais pas me plaindre... Bref, du coup jen prends un 2ème pour compléter mon installation !! Non, non, je vous jure, je nai pas daction chez UBIQUITI !!! lol - Bref, vous laurez compris, je recommande sans ambages...
