These blocks are super fun. I have so many ideas on how we will be using them I cannot wait. Pros: The blocks are well made. I have would recommend them for kids who stop putting toys in their mouth. The elements are easy to see and read. The colors are very nice and attractive. Cons: There is no order to the colors. They are random and can be a drop confusing. Color aside, this set is amazing. It is just a fun way for the kids to learn the names of the elements.

They are well made, large and look like the picture. You won’t be able to make a periodic table with the blocks because all four sides have elements on them. Total 20 wooden blocks are in the package. Three star for that reason. Disappointed.

After 4 years, these blocks still look great. They are well-made and colorful, so the kids still love them. Since they are slightly bigger than classic alphabet blocks, they make a great foundation for whatever building the kids are creating. The periodic table info really isnt for the kids. But, they do ask questions, so they are learning some of the elements are from repetition and memorization. Maybe thatll make o-chem a tiny tiny bit easier in 10-15 years.

So..... this is ONLY a set of 20 five sided blocks. You will need to purchase 6 WHolE SETS IN ORDER TO BUILD THE ENTIRE PERIODIC TABLE. which is expensive at over 30$ a set... Thankfully, my son had family who each bought one for a birthday collab gift to make the whole set for him And these blocks are WONDERFUl for my 4 year old kiddo to play with. Hes autistic and has savant syndrome so he memorized the periodic table after hearing the periodic table song by asap science 4 times. He was obsessed from there so when I saw these blocks I HAD to have them. There arent many periodic table toys for toddlers as obviously most toddlera dont care at all for this stuff. First I bought the one set of 20 and we loved them. But my son didnt play with them AFTER THE FIRST DAY because he was frustrated that he couldnt build the periodic table fully with them. Unfortunately that made it a gift not really lasting in fun. Until A few months later when we got all 120 elements by having 5 more sets of the blocks and building it took 1.5 hours to put together. With little help from my kiddo. He just excitedly danced around singing as we searched for the blocks and he told us what we needed next and what number was what md the letter abbreviations to look for etc.. and etc. Because of his age and autism though, He doesnt care to sit and FIND anything by looking on multiple sides of blocks for even 5 minutes, let alone 2 hours.... so by himself, HE DOESNT OFTEN touch these blocks. Its too tedious because each block has SEVERAL elements on it and he doesnt have the patience. But With an adult playing with him. Theyre one of his favorite toys. Weve built the table in its entirety twice now. But its very time consuming each time. And we mostly build it while he sings and repeats everything. One more thing.... the element groups? They do not at ALL all correspond by color properly and it bothers my family. All alkali metals should be the same color. All noble gas, the same. All halogens the same color. And so on and so on. The fact that they are not the same color is what makes it ak difficult to out this darn full table together. So is it Worth having? I think so. But thats for us because of my special kiddo who LOVES the periodic table. With a passion. But For most kiddos? Probably not unless they dont care whats on the blocks and are just building towers to knock down. They are pretty lightweight. Kindof sharp. But not heavy really. So for play in that case, these are some VERY expensive blocks to be using to just do that. Plus theres only 20... If uncle goose came out and made these blocks with single elements on each block? Id buy it in a racing HEARTBEAT! (Probably) (not in a pack of only 20 though.) Hope this review helps some parents out there. We enjoy these blocks bottom line. But my son EQUALLY enjoys a printed picture of the periodic table he can sing along to.... so.... I dunno. Hard to say definitively whether I fully recommend.

These are wonderful blocks, though now our set is a bit out of date since IUPAC approved actual names for four new elements. I doubt my 13-month-old will notice :)

It is a small block, which works well for my one year old. There are multiple elements on each block. I do wish I had bought a set with a single block for each element though. Still great!

The tiny human didn’t care for the elements. But they have survived the drool. 10/10.
