Uniden Bearcat 980 40-Channel SSB CB Radio with 7-Color Digital Display

I wanted a SSB radio for the new van but didnt want to spend a fortune. This radio fit the bill nicely. I paired it with a K-40 antenna and once I got it matched I started talking. Its not the biggest radio out there but I have made many local contacts and have talked with several on 27.385 lsb

This is my second 980. The first one that I bought two years ago has a defective display that fades out when the radio warms up. As for this unit, so far, so good. Ive had it running for 48 hours now and all is working flawlessly. Regarding shipping I have to say that the seller shipped immediately and the radio arrived a day before it was scheduled. Needless to say, I would buy from this seller again.

Its a nice entry level CB if you want side band. Lots of features. My only problem with this radio is the noise blanker. It just doesnt work that well on AM. It makes the radio sound kind of muffled. But other than that I like it.

All I get is the weather station tried everything up high down low everywhere no chatter no nothin

good radio, I like the scan feature of the radio, and the fact that it shows the channel and the frequency in the display. I also like the display with the color selection, you can set up night and day colors. Setup and tune the radio to your antenna is easy.

Bought a dash kit for a double din had to modify that a little but it fit in my tacoma nicely going to put a external speaker and pa speaker in it

Been into radio for many years. This CB is very impressive. Can be used nicely for mobile or base.

Only fault I find in this radio is the weather band wont pickup very well. If I had the radio mounted higher in the vehicle, it would do better, I discovered. Programming can be kind of aggravating because of the way the manual is written. It really pulls in signals.
