US Art Supply Artist Wood Pastel, Pen, Marker Storage Box with Drawer(s) (Large Tool Box)

I was looking for a box to keep shoe polish etc in. There are a lot of boxes designed for shoe polish - but they tend to be very expensive and often have a thing on top that youre supposed to put your shoe on. I was looking for something that would fit in my bedside table. This fits the bill! I put a few coats of polyurethane on it and it now makes a handy holder for polish, brushes, rags, etc.

The one that I received was pretty well made without some of the complaints that others have made. Were using it for a sewing box and its perfect for that application, lots of space and storage nooks and crannies.

On the plus side: its a lightweight, good size that I think will work well for my small pottery tools. On the other hand, the construction is pretty poor. Joints arent properly fitted, there are gaps and some shredding in the corners. One of the outside corners was sanded to the point where its just a smeared mess. The inside box is far too small and just rattles around. I understand that it needs to be a little bit smaller so it will lift out more easily but this looks like it was wrongly sized. Im undecided if I should keep it or not. If I keep it I will have to patch and stain or paint it. I will also have to figure out a way to better secure the inside box. I wasnt planning on this tool box becoming a project in and of itself.

It looks pretty and has nice compartments BUT its absolutely useless. I had my art supplies in it and was carrying it by the handle from the car to the studio and, because the clasps are so shallow and dont hook well, both clasps opened and everything fell out 3 TIMES. Its not functional for my purposes. Super big waste of money for me.

I use this for storing paints and brushes for painting minis. It can hold ~60 citadel paints (12 & 24ml) + brushes + paint handle w/ a mini so its great if you dont have a dedicated painting station.

Made this into a shoe shine kit. Things dont fit perfectly but it serves that purpose well at a much cheaper price point than buying a dedicated shoe shine kit/box.

This was so nice, I give the first one to my mother as a gift. Then reordered myself one. Is a well made box. Good joint work and all around craftsmanship. This is not a cheap box or waste of money. I would of liked to do the finish myself. ( in Ebony ) The packaging was a nice box as well. Not much for protection, But it seemed to have a very stylish feel, even before I opened it. I am keeping my lost wax casting stuff in this . Silver, gold, wax and investment plaster, So this can hold a good amount of weight.

Nice looking well made box. But it doesnt work with my art supplies, too shallow. Needs to be 2 inches taller for my paint supplies and tools. Otherwise its great.
