Purchased this as a gift and design matched the picture well

I just received this umbrella and took it outside because I live in the desert and its a 105 outside right now. It does protect you from the sun, but its pretty heavy, and its very hot underneath the umbrella. I felt like I was walking in a cone of heat and I could feel the heat with my hand on the umbrella undersurface. When I took the umbrella away from me I didnt feel the heat except of course the sun on my head, but my whole body did not feel like it was enveloped in heat. Also its a very heavy umbrella. Its compact but even though, it weighs a lot and would add some extra weight to my luggage or shoulder handbag. Its also a little heavy to hold and walk with. Its a short handle as some others have said and I can see fatigue setting in quickly. And Im not a fragile person. I used to use a light colored compact regular umbrella you use to protect you from rain and those have worked fine in the past for the sun too. I just have to find mine, its somewhere in a closet.

I got this umbrella about 10days ago., after about 3days used one of the rib broke.

Great looking and easy to open and close. Problem is they are HOT. While protecting you from direct sunlight, the black inner and outer motif creates an oven effect underneath. Way too hot in the sun!

I love nice weather but cannot be in the sun for a long time. Went to Disney with friends in July and I am soooo glad I bought this. Although it won’t make it cooler it does prevent nasty sunburns and reduce the amount of “cooking” You will experience from the direct sunshine. It was my life saver and now I bring it everywhere. I recently brought it to an outdoor concert and I had a lady ask if she could sit behind me to “steal” some of my shade. You can definitely notice a difference between having shade and not having shade.

I purchased this sunbrella to use while walking the dog. It has automatic open/close which is great when you have a leash in the other hand. It blocks the heat and rays of the sun very well. It is lightweight and the handle is comfortable when in use. I am very happy with this product!!!

Great umbrella

Pretty standard little umbrella. Love the interior pattern, but it could be printed just a bit bigger or bolder or more crisply. Probably the heaviest little umbrella I have ever owned. It seems to weigh almost as much as the rest of the things in my purse combined and can be pretty uncomfortable to carry. Worked just fine for about ~20 uses but then one day flipped inside out and never worked again. Upon closer inspection, many of the metal bits had badly rusted, and I was even fairly careful not to close it up when wet.

I got this just before a Vegas trip. I was so happy. I opened it up to see the pattern. The material is plasticy, but I was ok not knowing what to expect. I immediately closed it up and carried it on the plane. In Vegas, I opened it up amd walked a block, and tried to close it by pressing the release button. It would not collapse Into the handle, so it was long, but I didn’t think anything of it. But 20 minutes later, it would not stay open either. There is a white strong popping out from the top. So I spent too much mo ey for a one block walk. Not worth it.
