> 3 dayI just received this umbrella and took it outside because I live in the desert and its a 105 outside right now. It does protect you from the sun, but its pretty heavy, and its very hot underneath the umbrella. I felt like I was walking in a cone of heat and I could feel the heat with my hand on the umbrella undersurface. When I took the umbrella away from me I didnt feel the heat except of course the sun on my head, but my whole body did not feel like it was enveloped in heat. Also its a very heavy umbrella. Its compact but even though, it weighs a lot and would add some extra weight to my luggage or shoulder handbag. Its also a little heavy to hold and walk with. Its a short handle as some others have said and I can see fatigue setting in quickly. And Im not a fragile person. I used to use a light colored compact regular umbrella you use to protect you from rain and those have worked fine in the past for the sun too. I just have to find mine, its somewhere in a closet.
