> 3 dayIm new to airbrushing and was having some difficulty with tip drying impeding the flow of paint. It was really frustrating for a while, and I thought I would just have to keep playing with my mix to get it just right. Since using this, Ive not had an issue with flow at all. It has smoothed out the experience greatly and significantly increased my outcomes and enjoyment of the hobby. IME, you cannot go wrong with this product.

> 3 dayLove it, use 2 drops for every 10 drops of paint to help your airbrush and to slow down your paint from drying too fast in the airbrush.

12-06-2025This product has made my airbrushing much easier. The hot summer temp was drying paint on the needle and clogging after a very short time. Since I started adding this the paint is no longer drying on the needle and clogging the airbrush. I will make sure to keep this on hand going forward. Although with only needing 1 drop for most of my mixes I suspect the bottle will last quite a while.

Greater than one weekKeeps my acrylics from drying too quickly in my airbrush! :) Also, helps clean airbrushes by flushing this with some water, then with the Iwata Airbrush Cleaner.

> 3 dayI use this in combination with the Vallejo Airbrush Thinner. I don’t use ‘airbrush ready’ paints so this flow improver has worked great to help spray all my acrylics from Citadel, Vallejo, and P3. I follow the ratio of 1 drop of the flow improver to every 10 drops of paint/thinner in my airbrush. The best part of this flow improver is that I’ve noticed I get less dry tip on my needle. I can only assume that Vallejo must’ve put a retarder in this as well, which is a nice addition. So far, this has become a staple additive for all my airbrushing sessions.

> 3 dayI just use Vallejo Flow Improver to thin Vallejo Model Air and Hataka Red Line acrylics. With my Eclipse HP-CS (.35mm), I go 1:1 (paint to Flow Improver) for base coating and 1:2 for camouflage and mottling. Key is to gradually build up the color. I get absolutely no tip dry with these ratios even in our arid desert environment. Let paint dry takes a bit longer but still significantly less than if using enamels . I no longer use Vallejo Airbrush Thinner with the Flow Improver since the Flow Improver alone does a better job at controlling and eliminating tip dry. Never had much luck with the Airbrush Thinner…causes way too much tip dry and clogging.
