> 3 dayI have many seasonal allergies plus I live with a cat! However there has been a significant improvement thus spring since starting to use these filters. Occasionally I might take an antihistamine or need eye drops but both these therapies cut by atleast half.

23-11-2024I just appreciate the convenience of getting both the pre-filters and HEPA filters together. (I usually change them together anyway. I dont know where anybody got the idea that the HEPA filters will last 6 months.) And the precut carbon filters, in my opinion, are a must. If you just get those big sheets and have to cut them out yourself, not only is that extra work and time, but you never get it exactly right. I find the quality of the VEVA filters to be equal to or better than original equipment. And theyre a much better deal than the official replacement filters. So, yeah, these get my vote as what to buy for your Honeywell HPA 100, 200, or 300. Filter change tip: You can wait for the lights to go on, but to my mind thats like waiting for the oil light to come on in your car before changing your oil - its way past overdue by then. What tips me off is that I can tell - on medium speed, General Clean on my HPA200 - just by putting my hand above the vent where the air comes out, that theres a noticeable reduction in the air flow. Its not like its clogged up and theres no air coming out, but I can feel that the air flow is reduced from what it was right after putting fresh filters in.

> 3 dayIve been using Honeywells HPA200 room air filtration system for several years now. This system uses two of the type R filters. For a number of years, the replacement filters were great, but starting about a year ago, the Honeywell brand-name type R filters began to smell very strongly of some kind of chemical. I went to several big box stores in the area to find replacements, and they all smelled the same of this strong petroleum-like odor. This off-gasing makes me and my partner feel ill. This is apparently a well known problem, because there are many reviews with this complaint. As a result, we have been trying to find 3rd party filters that dont smell, hence our purchase of these VEVA type R filters. Well, I hate to say it, but these too smell like chemicals. The smell is different but strong and noticeable and nothing I want my house smelling like. Apparently both VEVA and the 3rd party manufacturer of the Honeywell name brand filters are located in China. I think both companies need a course in air filtration 101--dont manufacturer an air filter that releases chemicals into the air when the purpose of the filters is to improve indoor air quality. I wont be purchasing these again.

> 3 dayOne thing is clear as soon as you open the package and unpack the product. VEVA cares about quality. I hardly ever review anything, but in this case I think it’s worth it just to get the word out. A close visual and tactile inspection of these filters shows they’re just as solid and well-made as the original Honeywell filters. And make no mistake, these are *true HEPA filters, the real deal. At about half the cost of the original filters they’re going to save me a ton of money. My HPA-300 uses three of these. They only last about nine months, so the cost really adds up over time. Some reviews have mentioned an odor of gasoline in the new Honeywell filters and even a chemical odor in the VEVA filters, but I didn’t detect any odor at all in these VEVA filters. I’ve ordered a lot of products from Amazon that didn’t come with any instructions at all, but VEVA includes plenty of information with their filters and more than adequate instructions that are very helpful and easy to understand. Kudos to Vanessa P. at VEVA (whoever she is) for being big on customer service and doing lots of follow-up. In addition to these HEPA filters I also use VEVA’s charcoal prefilters in my air filtration unit. They too appear to be a well-made quality product and they perform very well. I just installed the HEPA filters today so it remains to be seen how well they’ll do over time, but I’m optimistic.
