> 3 dayIm making my first quilt... I was going to order poly-fil batting but a friend (and quilting veteran) advised me to buy a small amount of it from Walmart first (partly to practice quilting on and partly to preview the quality)... She told me cotton is the way to go, but I had read that synthetic would be warmer... I got a small amount of synthetic batting and tried to practice with it, and I ended up ordering this Warm company cotton batting for my actual quilt... heres my comparison: Synthetic (NOT this product): The batting thickness was very inconsistent - extremely thin in places (consistent with the reviews) and bunched up where it was folded... this bunching was not fixable. It seemed like poly-fil (like for pillows) had been rolled out into layers and I could very easily rip the batting up into pieces. It was also difficult to cut because of this. The whole sheet was translucent. Warm and Natural (THIS product): This is like a blanket by itself - not translucent, and even thickness throughout. Thin enough to be easy to work with, but dense and obviously very WARM! It would not be possible to rip it in half with my hands, and it cut easily with sheers like any other thick fabric. I am SO GLAD I listened to my friend and got the cotton. It was the same price as the synthetic, easier to work with, and very obviously of a MUCH higher quality.

26-11-2024Doesnt come out of the needleholes when quilting. Perfect for quilts - they can be used in the summer or the winter and the temperature is good either way. Lays flat - I use this both inside of the quilt sandwich as well as nailed to the wall to create a design wall that I lay quilt blocks on. Works great!

> 3 dayThis lays so nicely flat for making my lap quilts. Nice size that’s not cumbersome. No tearing or stretching.

> 3 dayThis size is perfect for the things I make. Unlike larger sizes, I don’t need a football field to unfold it on!

> 3 daySoft, light but just warm enough to keep off a little chill. I made small yard square quilts for grandchildren in southern california

> 3 daySo I used this as an underlying for a bench I made. It worked but dont do that. I read another review of someone who did that and thought that was a good idea. Just buy normal underlying stuff. But this product is soft and light and would be great for quilts.
