> 24 hourFast little M.2 Drive. I say its fast, its an SSD, its not limited by the sata cable. it will run as fast as your PCIe lanes will allow. So there are no restrictions. This M.2 drive was purchased to replace a smaller 2.5 SSD, and also to clean up some wiring inside my computer case. eliminated another power and sata cable. Is it faster than my 2.5 SSD, i dont know, It feels like boot times have decreased by a second maybe 2. Overall its a perfect budget M.2 SSD for a main drive, backup storage or just want it just because. This is my main drive in my PC, paired with a 240GB PNY 2.5 SSD and a 1TB WD Blue HDD. Love WD, their products have yet to fail me.

> 24 hourI bought this to upgrade my wifes old 5400rpm hd in her laptop. I used an adapter to clone her old hd to this one and when it was done I switched them out and it works perfectly so far. SOOOOOOOOOOOO much faster than before. Its almost like having a brand new laptop. I sacrificed some space because hers was 650gb but she was only using 200gb of that space so this was more than adequate.

> 24 hourSo far so good. There are scores above which are accurate. The only reason I didnt give a 5 star is bc the material the case of the ssd is made of plastic. Its very cheap feeling. I have an intel and pny drive and they are heavier and seem more well built. Other than that its a great drive.

> 24 hourBought 2 of these to bring new life to a couple of old laptops. Kept my old operating systems and cloned & partitioned them for Linux Mint as a second system using the free version of Minitool. Both laptops work perfect with this drive and the newer one with a faster interface & CPU runs at least 5 times faster than with its old mechanical drive. They barely get warm and I havent had a computer freeze or blue screen since installing them. They will probably outlive the machines I put them in so when that time comes, they will be re-purposed to another machine.

> 24 hourwhat is your priority ? if money is it, this price is good for 500 GB. do you need FAST ? this is a tricycle, samsung 850 is a Harley1200, SAMSUNG 960 M.2 is a missile. whats your workload, how fast do you need to go & how much can you afford to get there? SAMSUNG 960 M.2 NVME is my OS & DAW choice samsung 850 is my secondary programs & Main Libraries choice this is my Secondary Libraries & good working storage choice a 7200 rpm Hybrid HDD usb3.1 is my archive choice its your money, how fast do YOU need to go?? & how much time do you have to get there ? this is great for fun & games; but a fast all day workhorse over a long hard haul ? whats your priority?

> 24 hourThis is a product of WDs acquisition of SanDisk. Overall, this is a great mainstream SSD. While there are slightly faster ones to be had for quite a bit more money in everyday use for most people you wouldnt be able to tell the difference. Still a massive improvement over a rotating mechanical hard drive - this made my ThinkPad T430 go from a total dog (yay 5400RPM laptop hard drives) to nearly as fast as my Core i7 gaming/workstation laptop. So far this SSD has handled everything Ive thrown at it just fine - everything from simple stuff like browsing the internet to heavy virtualization workloads! Would recommend.

> 24 hourI initially ordered a Crucial 525MX300 SSD and had nothing but problems trying to clone my W10 drive. The WD website gives you Acronis software which actually works and has several links to read for any problem you might be having. There is nothing in the box that tells you they provide the software free, so go to the WD support website. The WD support site has docs that walk you step by step through the cloning process. I spent 8 hours trying to get the Crucial to work with the Acronis 2014 software they link you to and somehow messed up my system to where I had blue screens and problems on my old drive and had to reset Windows 10 and do a fresh install on my old drive (lucky I made a back up and restore USB drive before all this). The WD drive took 30 minutes and I was cloned and running.

> 24 hourUpdate: With regard to the WD Blue SSD.. Zero Noise compared to any platter hard drive. But that would be applicable to any SSD. Speed is as promised. I think once you go SSD, there is no turning back.. If anyone has the intention of imaging their current PC to a new PC with this drive, I would recommend the problem free EaseUS backup and system transfer. I unfortunately have tried the top 5 recommendation and all failed or had several learning curves which became to time consuming. For $29 the home version is all you need..

> 24 hourOne of the best replacement hard drives. The solid state 1Terrabyte is a huge storage monster, and greatly improves the speed of your computer. Adding this has given my seven year old laptop a new life.

> 24 hourGood value for money. Now I can finally use my windows 10 computer without waiting forever for things to settle down. A little slower than expected when doing intensive seek operations. However, lightning fast moving large chunks of data. Overall a great product for the price.
