I used this to install inside my PS5 and it installed seamlessly with no problems.I also bought a cheap heatsink for it just in case it got too hot.

Im using this M.2 in a new DELL XPS 8950 Tower (which actually has two M.2 locations for NVMe SSDs. This is working perfecvtly for me in the 2nd (aux) location (It came from DELL with a WD BLACK 1TB in the primary M.2 location, so I went with WD for the 2nd one too, rather than the other popular manufacturer product that I have used in the past).

Blazing fast read and write speeds, pretty close to 2tb. Another of people may not realize it but when it comes to m.2 drives theyre a little smaller than advertised normally, but not by a lot.

Stability performance and value, does the job, these are exactly what I needed from this ssd. Would definitely purchase again.

I bought the WD Black m.2 4.0 device as a backup, so I did not open it until I needed to replace an SSD drive. Well, I started having problems with previous WD Black which I bought not too long ago (not even a year had passed). I installed the WD with the backup and received an error while trying to initialize the drive. It said that the request failed due ot a fatal hardware error. I put the older WD back in and it worked no problem. I tried to put the WD in again and it spat out the same message. Im a little upset because its well beyond the return date for this drive, as I bought it in June when it was on sale. Im wondering now if the amazon shop got a bad batch of devices and they decided to make a sale so they could get rid of the faulty drives. I wouldnt put it past them. I dont think Ill ever order any more devices from this amazon shop. Thanks for nothing!

I installed this in a GEEKOM IT8 mini-PC (very much like an Intel NUC), and it performs well. I dont use it for gaming.

I purchased and installed 2 of these 1TB WD_Black NVME m.2 gen 4 drives in my new PC build. They both function flawlessly, very fast (first time having NVME, gen 4 or otherwise - old PC was running 2.5 SATA SSDs. This is way faster than SATA SSDs! Very happy with performance - and love the small space taken up on the motherboard for each.
