This product is great. I got it on a good sale, my boot time has increased dramatically and with it sitting in a heat sink, have no issues with overheating. Would recommend for sure!

Perhaps this is just how it is with all NVMe SSDs, but I didnt know I needed the screws to hold it in place. They didnt come with the computer either so I had to order them. Im certainly not knocking the product. It wasnt advertised to come with them. Just be aware that if you dont already have them, youll need to order them with the NVMe SSD.

I bought two of these for my AMD 5950x build that I put together last year. I was using my 2tb 960pro from the last gamer, but wanted to move it back to the old gamer and repurpose that machine and put a gen 4 one in the 5950x gamer. So I got two of these, and as my motherboard has 3 nvme slots, was able to use Macrium to clone the Samsung over to this and after removing the Samsung, it booted right up. It boots fast and savegames load super quick. Nice. Two of them in the gamer may seem like overkill, but I dedicated one drive to game installs, and the other to Windows and apps. Very happy with this drive; stuff like this is what gives Western Digital a good name.

I bought the WD Black m.2 4.0 device as a backup, so I did not open it until I needed to replace an SSD drive. Well, I started having problems with previous WD Black which I bought not too long ago (not even a year had passed). I installed the WD with the backup and received an error while trying to initialize the drive. It said that the request failed due ot a fatal hardware error. I put the older WD back in and it worked no problem. I tried to put the WD in again and it spat out the same message. Im a little upset because its well beyond the return date for this drive, as I bought it in June when it was on sale. Im wondering now if the amazon shop got a bad batch of devices and they decided to make a sale so they could get rid of the faulty drives. I wouldnt put it past them. I dont think Ill ever order any more devices from this amazon shop. Thanks for nothing!
