This drive is amazing! It is the fastest solid state drive that I have used so far. The hardware installation is very easy, and once my computer booted up, the drive was detected and worked right away. Downloading the Western Digital Dashboard software from the website allows you to monitor the health of your drive and also enable gaming mode. When you enable gaming mode, then you will get the super fast performance the drive is advertised as having. Also there is a firmware update that you will need to install to improve the performance of the drive.

Super simple installation the memory is a life saver! Literally! The link to install memory is on the PlayStation website for beginners like me. This is for sure compatible with a PS5.

i notice speed increase from 6gb ssd, every m2 drive gets a bend behind the heatsink though i hope the solder wont snap from the bend over time.

Muy facil instalación y funciona igual de rapido que el SSD interno. Los juegos se visualizan como si estuviera instalado en el mismo SSD. En un disco duro externo solo se pueden instalar juegos de PS4 ya que de PS5 para usarlos tiene que estan instalados en SSD interno o con la extension especial para los SSD M.2

J’ai acheté ce produit pour étendre le stockage de ma ps5. Il est conforme au dimension exigée par Sony et très facile à installer . En ce qui concerne la longévité , je n’ai pas assez de recul pour me faire un opinion.

installation was super easy in ps5 and it was detected and formatted in seconds ..... with 2tb of space I should be set for awhile now ...... overpriced imo

Works perfect for the PS5 as advertised installation was easy, it does fit in the compartment with the heat sink attached.

Installed this in my wifes pc with some ram and got a nice fps increase on most games.
