Works great! Easy to install in my PS5

Using on a PS5 and after formatting, the available storage capacity is exactly as advertised at 2TB. Installing the drive is very easy, and it is nice that the drive arrived with the heat sink already assembled to the drive unlike some of the other options out there. The hardest part of installing the drive is opening the console, I found Sony’s YouTube tutorial to be the most helpful guide there. I strongly recommend this to anyone looking to expand their console’s memory. Will update if I run into problems.

Easy to use and install for PS5 with 6500 speed

Easy to install on PS5 and exceeds standard recommendations for what Sony recommends. Transferring from console storage to this NVME device is very fast which indicated just how fast this device operates! Installing it is rather standard, similar to how you’d install it on a PC but a bit different in terms of accessing the PS5 NVME slot. Follow online tutorials and directions for the PS5 NVME install, don’t just try to “wing it” if you’ve never done anything like this before. This particular NVME stick includes a heat sink which is also recommended by Sony to be installed since the memory can get very hot and essentially wear out due to heat if you don’t have a heat sink installed. Since this NVME option came with the heat sink pre-installed, it make overall installation onto the PS5 even quicker.. otherwise it would take a little longer if you have to take the additional steps to adhere an off the shelf heat sink to your NVME stick. I highly reccomend this meme key device for PS5 and also for PC. I believe this particular stick is also on Sony’s “recommended” list of devices for PS5 NVME storage expansion. I highly recommend this especially since it’s priced the same as Microsoft’s proprietary memory card expansion. Overall, I highly recommend this for PS5 since the games now are massive in size and stock console storage is incredibly lower than you’d think at less than 700Gig usable memory.

One thing before you enjoy your drive, the drive requires a M2-M3 screw of sufficient length in order to screw the side, opposite to the insert side, in. You need the top diameter of the screw to fill the half circle on the side of the drive to hold it down hence M2-M3, but it needs to have the proper length. I cant take out the drive and measure the mm, but when I bought some 3mm in length screws, they were not long enough. Go for 5-7 mm at my guess. Other than that, install away! My performance comments are next.

As others have done, I picked this SSD for my PS5. Digital downloads are becoming more common and game sizes much larger. I do not like to wait for a game to download only to play it for a while and have to uninstall when I need room for another. This is a must have for people who purchase a lot of digital content rather than physical, or anyone with the PS5 digital. This is especially true if you have slower internet and want to keep your digial games on your system in case you want to go back and play them.

Needed more storage and this fits the bell. My pc load time is noticeably quicker than my previous drive of the same product line but older model. Install was quick.
