Easy to pop into Playstation 5. If you have never installed memory before, plenty of videos in YouTube showing you how to do it. I would highly recommend this product for additional ps5 storage space at a reasonable price while on sale. Use those deal alerts people.

Recommended by PS5 tech engineering, now that the software is released this week (no longer beta), timing was perfect. Bought/installed the 2TB w/heatsink in my (finally got one) new PS5. Follow the PS Tech Support instructions, installs in minutes with just a phillips screwdriver. PS5 will auto-detect and guide through the format process (takes less than a minute) and gives you a read speed at the end (mine was just under 6700). I have a matching WD Black 5TB external HDD, now have 3.6TB internal capacity and the new SW give option to auto download PS4 games to ext HDD and PS5 games to either console or M2 (this SSD) internal or console drives. No notable increase in heat to the system or exiting air.
