Super easy to install in my brothers acre laptop; much faster then a 2.5 ssd is a huge plus.

I gave 4 starts overall, as the drive only formatted to 1.8TB. This is quite common I know and not a fault, but even so, it would be nice to get the full capacity that you paid for.

While not the fastest on the market, this is pretty fast for the price range. Super easy to install, USB port, good for every day use. We used this as an external hard drive and it did the job just fine. No issues with performance or installation. Good overall value. Solid 4/5 stars. Quite happy with this.

Didnt work in my new laptop. Bios can see it, but Windows 10 says it doesnt exist when trying to initialize it. Others in Redflagdeals forum report the same problem. I return it, and installed a Crucial CT1000P2SSD8 instead, which works perfectly.

Dead after just shy of 11 months. I should have known something was fishy when everything installed to it initially had some form of spikes in access, but eventually the access to data smoothed and I thought I was in the clear. Now at just shy of 11 months into the purchase, I have a completely dead drive and nearly 1TB of data that is just gone. No forewarning or anything. I have PATA HDDs still lasting 10x as long as this has....

It really did what it said.

The after sales service of Seagate is far more better than WD , but doing its job .
