Greater than one weekdidnt come with instructions so just googled it and watched a quick youtube video for the actual setup. the install was a cakewalk, took the back of my asus tuf a15 off, slipped this guy in, put the screw in the hold it in place then closed it back up. the actual setup was quite simple and now i have a second ssd drive of 1tb.... ill probably never use that much space but why not have it? simple and quick upgrade that doesnt take a pro to do

> 3 dayOne of my first experiences when it came to using a SSD drive, and personally when it comes to programs used daily and my operating system, Ill never go back to using a hard disk for those again. Filled up my first SSD so got an additional one for my system as well for a backup drive.

> 3 dayOur budget Lenovo (IdeaPad 3 15IIL05) came with a 256GB SSD. To make it more useful, I originally paired it with an external WD Black 500 GB hdd. That has its limitations, though, as its not very transportable. After the warranty expired, upgrading to the 1 TB internal SSD was simple. Lots of online videos on how to remove the back cover and locate the SSD. First I took the new SSD and put it into an SSD enclosure I also purchased on Amazon. Then I was able to format it with Windows from the existing SSD (hidden partition). Finally I removed the laptop cover, took the old SSD out and put the new SSD in. The old SSD went into the SSD external enclosure. It was easy to copy all the files from the external hdd to the new 1 TB drive, and Ive been up and running with no issues. No problems with portability, either (the 500GB hdd is semi-retired; I only pull it out on rare occassions). Great upgrade!

> 3 dayI ordered the 2TB version of the drive. The WD cardboard box says 2TB. The sticker on the device says 2TB. However the operating system detects 500GB and the model & serial no correspond with the 500GB version of this drive. Very annoying. Sent back and bought a different brand.
