16-11-2024Im sure theres a lot of muhhh WD blue muh green its not 4 gamerzz type stuff going around but frankly speaking this thing has been above avarage, almost 380% better performance than average according to userbenchmarks, and my 250 WDb is 117% above average. Good to know.

Greater than one weekDont bother with this drive. WD was caught downgrading the performance of these drives after their original release. You might not get the specs advertised. I wish I had known these shady facts before purchasing. Benchmarks of my SN570 put it in the lower 3rd percentile out of the box. Other benchmarks showed 1/3 or less of the write speeds advertised. Read speeds matched posted specs at least. Im returning mine.

Greater than one week[Windows 10] When you install your new M.2 into the additional M.2 storage slot, you will have to open the Disk Manager (A.K.A. Create and format hard disk partitions) and right click on your new M.2. It should have a black bar above it. Then you have to format it and it should work fine just fine.

> 3 dayTried to install as a replacement for WD Blue SN530 which had failed. BIOS could recognize the drive correctly but Windows installer could not and asked for a driver to be installed. There is not a driver to be found on the Western Digital site. All the searches assume you have a working Windows installation which I do not.
