Western Digital 4TB WD Purple Surveillance Internal Hard Drive HDD - SATA 6 Gb/s, 256 MB Cache, 3.5 - WD42PURZ

Because of reviews from buyers complaining that the drive they received wasnt new, or was packaged carelessly, I give you my comments. This review is specifically about a 4TB WD Purple WDPURZ 3.5 drive designed for 24 x 7 systems and sold and delivered by Amazon. It was made in Thailand in August 2022, four months ago. It was in a pristine anti-static bag, sealed, with a desiccant pouch inside. The drive was supported by a plastic anti-shock nest at two sides that isolated it well, inside a strong cardboard box. This is a very common apparatus I see when I buy new drives. I suspect its engineered to guarantee that no matter who does what with the package, the drive will never be disturbed. I cant say anything about the working of the drive; we all know theres a very high probability it will work perfectly and last a long time, and that prediction will apply to the one you buy too, even if I get incredibly unlucky and mine bursts into flame the moment I plug it in.

Great choice of HDD for an NVR. Never had a problem with one, very long service life.

Ottimo prodotto,consegna più veloce del previsto però ho riscontrato uneccessiva rumorosità durante la scrittura ,ovviamente da molto fastidio perché montato allinterno dì un nvr deve essere più silenzioso possibile. prima di questo cera montato un hd da 1tb sempre wd purple..silenziosissimo, valuterò se restituirlo perché il rumore si sente abbastanza.

El producto es bueno, pero esta empresa no ofrece garantía, el disco dejó de funcionar en menos de 60 días, si mal no recuerdo, despues de escribirle varias veces al vendedor, no he tenido respuestas SINCERAMENTE, COMPREN EL PRODUCTO, PERO NO AQUÍ, PERDÍ TODA LA INVERSIÓN Y LA ATENCIÓN BRILLÓ POR SU AUCENCIA PÉSIMOS VENDEDORES, PÉSIMOS!!!

Just stop working after 7 days of use. Warranty process is very critical.

The HDD was very easy to install in my reolink NVR. I just removed the old drive and installed the new drive without formatting it. It was plug and play. The old drive lasted for about 4 years. Ill update this review if it fails anytime soon.
