I install home camera systems. Most home recorders come with 1tb drives. With 4 cameras running 24/7 that is only a few days of recording time. I installed this in a 6 camera system and it extended the time to 25 days.

Drive has been doing its job inside my surveillance system for six months now. I never have to think about it. It just keeps working, thats all.

I bought this drive to use in my Ubiquiti Dream Machine Pro. I have four cameras hooked up to it, and its run perfectly for the past two years. When the day comes I need a replacement, I would definitely buy this again.

I needed more storage for my NVR, the manufacturer suggested another brand but had not tested this version. I saw that it was a performer in the testing data and after install I have had zero issues. The NVR interface was able to increase my storage and I am able to record much more.

Broke after 15 days. Drive doesnt get detected in Windows or Linux. I get ntfs_pread failed: Input/output error in Linux and Disk1Unitialized Disk in windows. Return period was only 10 days and couldnt even return. Had to claim WD warranty for replacement

Just stop working after 7 days of use. Warranty process is very critical.

Great choice of HDD for an NVR. Never had a problem with one, very long service life.
