> 3 dayI was having a terrible time trying to do inlays in walnut/maple with my Whiteside 1502, all the male carves were being torn up. I ordered the 1542 and ran the same toolpaths and all I can say is WOW! I ran at 18K RPM and a feedrate of 80IPM and my inlays are perfect. This bit has 3 flutes, so I am guessing that is the difference. You will not regret adding this bit to your inventory if you do inlays.

Greater than one weekIt arrived on time. This was important as I had a deadline to meet. It did the job I needed and I will use and order again as soon as I wear this bit out. Cost-wise these are cheap enough, I will not spend time trying to sharpen them.

> 3 dayUsed this bit to replace a 60 degree v-bit that kept breaking off the tip. It ran flawlessly through 12-4x8 sheets of fir plywood at 1/16 deep. Afterwords examined the tip and cutting edge with a jewelers loupe and found it was almost as new. Highly recommend this for engraving and projects were a v-groove bit will break.

> 3 dayThese bits are awesome, they stay sharp for sooo long running them on my CNC and they dont cost much at all, I used one for 6 months and it was still cutting great, bought another just because it seemed time to replace it.. definitely didnt need to though. Seems everyone is buying the Amana bit with replacement carbide inserts now, they will originally run you a lot of money and replacement inserts cost as much as this bit, I highly recommend this bit for v carving.

> 3 dayVery nice cutter. Was using a variety 2 flute 1/4 shank 1/2 cutting head (2 zero points) for a v carve inlay on fine text and this one cut much better. It’s my go to engraving bit

> 3 dayThree flutes are great. Very smooth insertion with a plunge router and smooth sides to the cavity. A longer shaft would be nice for use in a plunge router making signs. Im using mine in a Bosch colt with plunge base. Would buy again.
