Needed something to bring wifi into the one room of my house that my regular router didnt reach. it is working well now that it is set up, but setup was challenging. The quick-start instructions are all written for using this as a Wifi Repeater, but that would not work in my case.

I have been very happy with this range extender. We have been using it for about a week in order to eliminate the dead zone that was in our master bedroom and it has been everything that we hoped for.The only reason that I have rated it 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the size of the device itself. The device doesnt fit very well in a top outlet even though the picture would indicate that it would.

I have a router that enables you to create multiple networks. I set up one network with a weak password and basic encryption, for visiting Guests. I used it to extend the range of my family_network. During setup, I used an option to name the extended network with a different name, family_network_extended, so that I could easily measure or connect to either network, without confusion.This product does what it promises; it substantially boosts signal strength.

Works great. I was having issues with my smart TV staying connected and buffering due to my Wi-Fi being connected upstairs. This was exactly what I needed to fix the problem.

This is an excellent range extender. Unlike some of the cheaper ones, it does not need to be positioned near the router. I found this to be easier than using the suggested web browser/wi-fi or WPS button setup options.

When I first tried to boot up the extender, it would not connect to my router, so I called the toll-free number. There, a very courteous and capable customer representative helped me get the extender working. As it turned out, the extender would not connect to the router because I had turned off broadcasting the RFID as an extra security measure.Once I turned on broadcast, the extender connected immediately. I need it only once a week, so I disconnect the power during the rest of the week. So far, once I restore the power, the extender connects up in a few seconds.I am very, very happy with this extender and I am especially pleased with their customer support.

I live in prewar NYC apartment and have my router set up in the living room which unfortunately is at the other end of the apt. In total, 4 thick walls are in the way which was causing wifi in my room to be less than stellar. Service would fluctuate between 3-4 bars which sounds okay but I was having significant problems with service cutting off at 3 bars. I set this up and now have full bars in my room. See my pic; jaboridrive_ext is The wifi connection in my room with this device and you can see all the bars at full, jabronidrive is the reg connection and you can see its the connection isnt as strong. You have to initially set this up close to your router but after the initial set up you can move it wherever you want. I ran a few tests and I did not get the full bars in my room until I placed the device in my room. I tried putting it in a couple of other places a little further away and did not get the same result in my room so I dont think this would like increase the range on a whole floor, at least not 1 of them.

This item was plug and play right out of the box and extended my wireless network into my garage so that my new wireless sprinkler controller worked better.

The range is awesome it can connect through thick walls in my case have 2 solid concrete walls and no problems connecting at 100+ Mbps. Im really way satisfied with this product.
