Winmau Blade 5 and Blade 6 Bristle Dartboards

There is nothing about it that I dont like I love everything about it best dart board i have ever owned worth every penny

Ive always admired the Winmau Blade 5 board at any pub that I have thrown at. Decided to treat myself to a new set-up at home with this great board as well as the Viper Defender square that protects the wall around the board. Was super easy to install an mount, and we were throwing in no time! Excellent purchase and delivery was prompt!

I got it as a gift for a friend who mentioned wanting a dart board. I ordered with enough time to have had it for 2 days beforehand. Did not receive it on time even with prime. Had two days of receiving delay in delivery messages. The day of I get a notification saying my package was damaged and would be issued a refund. So I had to reorder it and I did not receive the dartboard on time. The second time around I got it on time. Opened it and it is sturdy. Not too crazy about the colors but my friend was really excited. I did notice the points in white around the board was rather flimsy. The metal between colors won’t get in the way like I feared. The self heal seems to look good.

2nd time getting a blade 5 from Amazon because of the shipping cost being free compared to $12+(usd) almost everywhere else. The board itself is great. The box came damaged heavily, but didnt effect the board itself. All mounting brackets and screws were still contained in the box. The durability of the blade 5 depends on your amount of activity on it. I practice 1-2 hours per day and some days I play multiple online league matches and I get a good 9 months to a year out of my board before I feel the need to replace it. That is with regular rotation of the board as well. I usually rotate the board once a week, sometimes 2 depending on how many hours I put in. This time I purchased the basic model, but previously had the dual-core and there is noticeable difference between the 2 for me. The dual core feels as if it grabs your dart point when it hits the board compared to my dart feeling like it is just sitting on some bristle and could jar loose at any point with the basic between. Hope I was able to help with your decisions. Next order I will try the new blade 6 model and leave feedback accordingly.

The board itself is nice. The items pictures shows very well that it is hard to read the numbers with the white lettering in the background. I used a magic marker to color all the white lettering and replaced the pewter gray number grid with a white one from another board and now it is good. Very poor decisions on the manufacturers part. I wish i had noticed that sooner as I would have ordered a different one. But after those changes, it is very nice.

Once I decided to upgrade my dart board the search was on to find the best option. The blade 5 was recommended on many forums and the reviews here reiterated that. The features I am most impressed with is the seamless wire design. There are no staples or anything else in the cork. The other, and my favorite feature, is the stabilizers. These three feet keep the board secure. With my last board I would have to push in the board to remove the darts. This board is so much more stable. Its a small thing, but makes a big difference. I am recommending this board to anyone looking to upgrade.

Very heavy well made dart board. I do see the cracks in the paint other reviewers complained about but they do not cause any issues with the game. In many of the reviews the cracks are visible and customers never mentioned them. Also, when looking at product pictures of item, cracks are visible, so it should not come as a surprise to customers. Looks very nice and is functional and attractive. Colors bright. We are thoroughly enjoying our game during quarantine!
