Received this (gold) Winsor & Newton Designers Gouache yesterday and have a ready used it to accentuate a rainy-day watercolor I had been working on. Mixes well with watercolors, goes on smoothly; a little bit goes a long way. Very happy with this purchase! Will update my review after experimenting more with it. October 02, 2017 UPDATE: Simply love incorporating this gold gouache into recent watercolor art. Just finished a picture of my hubbys electric Ibanez guitar - my first attempt. Great product, easy to use, mixes with any color, or alone.

Im so glad I discovered gouache. Really beats trying to lighten areas with white watercolor. Just doesnt work well as far as opacity goes, but this product does the job!

I prefer this to pro white for corrections and for highlighting when inking. It covers well and applies smoothly.

Sure, this will do the trick for stars in your night sky. But I wasnt in love with the result. I just could never get it the way I wanted. But, I tried Dr. Ph. Martins Bleed Proof White and it was a game changer. The first attempt was amazing, see the attached photo to see my results with BLEED PROOF WHITE, available here on Amazon. Although it is watercolor, it is located in the INK section of brick and mortar stores, with the Dr. Ph. Martins inks.

Bought for a college color theory class and worked great

Worked like it should, it’s pretty smooth and my professor recommends us to buy it. I used it for 3 projects by mixing with others colors and it did the job!

I use it for painting stormy landscapes with lightning.

WN makes fantastic products and their gouache is no exception. Goes on smooth and dries to a matte finish.
