Woolwax Pro Undercoating Gun by Kellsport

> 3 dayI ordered this product as part of a kit with 3 spare jars for use on undercoating my 2012 Silverado. I ordered a gallon of product. I live in Iowa, so salt spray is a big problem here with vehicles rusting. I used this gun and the long plastic wand to spray Fluid Film in every body cavity I could find. I sprayed it extra heavy in areas where most pickups rust (areas above wheel wells, inside rocker panels, inside body cross members, exposed areas underneath, back of metal bumpers, etc. The gun worked well, I just used a small pancake sized compressor with a output regulator set at about 50 PSI. That sized compressor kept up fine. The material isnt really going to atomize like a normal spray gun(think snot consistency), but it does come out in a fairly uniform spray worth 4.4 stars. I doubt you could get a five star performance from the material being sprayed with a low pressure gun like this, but it definitely gets the job done and done quickly and easily. Worked good no matter what angle I held it at as I reached different areas. I highly recommend ordering the kit with the long 32 wand, as that is how I did all of the enclosed areas. Careful if you have door mounted speakers, as the stuff might jack them up. As for the Fluid Film product itself, I have also put it on by the supplied brush cap to the moving parts of my 3 point tractor attachments, which live outside year round. I lubed several items with it like the 48 snow blower chain, the 3 point hitch moving parts, the hitch pins, etc. Things definitely move nicely now. Time will tell how well the Fluid Film protects things. If I were Fluid Film, Id spray the right side of a vehicle and do nothing the the left side and do a video shoot after say ten years in the salt and slush. I do wonder about salt mixing with the product since it stays a liquid that clings to the surface. I plan to keep applying it either until I prove it does or doesnt help against rust. Sure seems to make sense, coat the steel in oily slime and how could it rust? I also did a test with a piece of hot rolled angle iron coated in the product. I put it outside where snow collects next to an untreated piece from the same piece of angle iron. Well see how long the treated part resists rust. I will try to report back.

> 3 dayAs another reviewer wrote, “Stop reading this review and buy it!” I think the spray cans are fine for touchup, but this is by far the best alternative. If you have a compressor this is the only way to go it’s just so much better. After you get the gun adjusted to the amount of spray you want it’s pretty straightforward after that. I did wear a respirator because of the overspray in the air but it didn’t really get on the ground or anything else too much.

> 3 dayThis spray kit is awesome, minus a few things. I used it to undercoat a brand new 21 F150 with fluidfilm (very similar to woolwax) The sprayer is extremely well built, feels very solid. Using the brass spray nozzle you can get great coverage and it atomizes the product extremely well. The flow adjustability is great as well. However doing the inside of the frame is more difficult, and the flex wand doesnt help much. Within the first 5 minutes I kinked the hose as it is extremely stiff. Not a huge problem, as it keeps the product flowing, but just something to keep in mind. Then the 360 degree tip just fell out of it while I was spraying inside the frame. No idea where it is and I certainly wont be able to get it back. I recommend getting this sprayer, and finding a solid aftermarket flex wand to complete the package. Pros: - Great price -excellent build quality -includes multiple bottles -includes a spray nozzle as well as flex 360 degree attachment -great coverage -east to use and clean Cons: -Flex wand isnt very flexible at all -360 degree tip will fall off inside car frame -360 degree tip clogs easily

> 3 dayThe gun works good. It takes a few minutes to get the air and the spray adjusted. The extensions dont work as good as just the gun.

> 3 daySprayed fluid film well was able to spray. Included hose adapters worked as they should and make the job easier. Was able to get to difficult areas. Was able to spray two vehicles with 1.5 gal of fluid film. Jeep Wrangler and Toyota Tacoma.

> 3 dayI have sprayed approximately 1/3 gallon of Fluid Film on two vehicles using this gun and it worked very well. Very easy to adjust the volume of material being sprayed and the two different length extension hoses allow reaching into otherwise inaccessible areas. The sprayer and parts all seem to be high quality (made in Italy).

> 3 daySave a bunch of money using this product with an air compressor. I can now buy any product in bulk and make quick work of oiling my commercial mower, jet ski, etc. Usually, it would 2 or 3 cans of WD-40, now, just need 1/2 a can.

> 3 dayThis kit exceeded my expectations. I set my air to 85#, then this gun made it easy and controllable to apply fluid film under my truck and trailer. The wand was very helpful at reaching those tough to get spots. The 360 degree wand made it capable to reach inside the frame of my truck. I would recommend this and would buy it again if needed. Thanks

> 3 dayWorked exactly as it should. I’ve run 2 gallons of fluid film through it and had no troubles. Highly recommend
