This sprayer works very well both with the spray nozzle and the two included tubes for small spaces. I placed the filled spray bottles in a utility sink filled with warm water for about 10 minutes before spraying. The amount of fluid sprayed depends upon how far the sprayer attachment is screwed into the gun. I found that fully seating the attachment then backing off two full turns sprayed the right amount of product for me. I was apprehensive about spending so much for an undercoating gun. But this gun/kit is well worth the money.

Flows really good with just the short tip. Flow slows way down when using an extension tube. I can spray at 40 pounds at the gun with just the short tip, but gotta crank up the pressure to 75lbs to spray through the extension wand. Heating up the fluid film in a bucket of hot water helps a lot with flow. I heard you can thin it down too with diesel fuel if need be. This is a good gun for spraying fluid film and it is well made, not junk.

I used this gun on the underside of my ram 2500. It did exactly what it was supposed to do. I ran the compressor at 85-90psi and it worked great! A few things to make your job easier, Kellsport sells some longer extensions on their website (for getting deeper into the frame and hard to reach spots), as well as a lid that goes on a 1 gallon pail of fluid film that makes it easier to pour. You are gonna want that for refilling the hopper on the sprayer.

When I first unboxed it, I grabbed the gun and dry fired it and wow!! I pinched my skin between the trigger and the trigger valve bolt. I found that in addition to wearing a good respirator, eye protection and old crappy clothes... I had to wear gloves! I must have pinched my finger 10 times before I couldn’t take it anymore. Wearing a glove helped. If you hold the gun in the proper position you should clear the pinch area but once you get under your vehicle and start pulling the air hose around and moving the sprayer it’s going to bite you!! The sprayer worked perfect with fluid film. My first challenge was to get it out of the gallon sized container. I used a clean yogurt container and used it to fill a gallon freezer bag. Then cut a comer and squeezed it in to a bottle. I undercoated my truck, for the first time ever, without a lift, and no real idea of what to expect. The two extension wands work great. I realized you cannot thread the nozzle or the wands too much. I screwed them in about a 1/4 of the threads. They allowed for plenty of fluid film to flow. I coated my RAM crew cab with 1 full sprayer bottle, which is a little less than half a gallon. Clean up was easy too. Try to tap out as much out of the bottle and then use hot tap water and dawn dish soap. Cap the bottle and shake well. Then refill with soap and hot water and run it through all the wands and nozzles you used. Then blow air through all of them to make sure they are totally dry. Took my about 2 hrs without a lift to do my truck. I think the next time I will be more efficient at it.

I used Woolwaxs undercoating gun to undercoat my F250. It does a good job. It sprays predictably at least once you figure out the nozzle. I was running about 90 psi through it, and it ran fine. The nozzle seems to be where youll have issues. Getting it adjusted and keeping it adjusted takes a little practice. If its not spraying for you, thats where Id start. While I appreciate the two flexible extensions, I wish it came with a rigid wand so that I could have gotten at some tighter spaces, otherwise Im very happy with the gun. Once complete with the job, I wiped down the sprayer head, let the feed tube drain itself into a bottle, then ziplock bagged it in anticipation of future use.

I have sprayed approximately 1/3 gallon of Fluid Film on two vehicles using this gun and it worked very well. Very easy to adjust the volume of material being sprayed and the two different length extension hoses allow reaching into otherwise inaccessible areas. The sprayer and parts all seem to be high quality (made in Italy).

A little pricey in my opinion but works great to spray warmed fluid film.

I use this system every fall on my Wrangler and 4Runner. The set works really well for applying fluid film from the gallon container and allows the left over to be stored in the bottles between seasons. I used a “paint suit” and face shield from Harbor Freight when I was laying on my back for installation to protect myself from overspray. Although you may be able to find a less expensive version somewhere, I felt the combination of this kit was worth the price and will save my frame from premature rust due to winter salt. I recommend the product and would purchase again.
