> 3 dayNot nearly as effective at heating a small enclosure as a plain ole incandescent basking bulb

> 3 dayI use one of these paired with a fixed thermostat in a small tarp enclosure to keep out above ground well bits (pressure sensor, valves, gages) from freezing in the winter. Works great. They are fragile, though, so handle them carefully.

> 3 dayI use this in a 40 gal for a baby ball python. It works great to boost ambient temps, and my snake likes to bask under it at night since it emits no light and puts out good heat. However, I ordered these on Nov 30, assuming that I installed them the day after up until the first one went out, thats 113 days. So 113 days x 24 hrs (because I ran mine on a thermostat, and this CHE pretty much ran 24/7) that comes out to almost 3,000 hours of usage... NOTHING like the seller claims at 7 to 10, maybe even 15,000 hours. A little dissapointed about that. Otherwise effective CHE.
