Xbox 360 4GB Console with Kinect

I purchased this unit as a lightening deal which was supposed to come with a $50 credit. However, Amazon never sent the credit and when I called, I was told that the deal had expired by the time the 3 minutes it took me to complete the transaction were over. Too bad they didnt tell me that before I completed the purchase. I just wish that I hadnt thrown out the box before I knew that I wasnt getting the credit. Otherwise I would be returning the system. I would have just stayed with my Wii.

Dont buy a used Xbox. The door to mine got dislocated and I thought it would be cheaper to buy a used one but I think Ill just have to buy a new one. The one I got worked well except for the fact that it wouldnt show in color. I thought it was me, but no. I got it to work fine but when I would turn it on the next day, I had the same issue for 3 or 4 days until I returned it. I used the RCA cables from my old one and it still didnt work. I thought it would be my receiver but all my other stuff works fine. I made sure to buy from amazon to ensure my refund.

I debated for a long time over whether to just get the Kinect senor or upgrade the whole deal. Finally, I decided that having all matching black electronics components on my rack is worth the extra cost!! Not to mention Wi-Fi, HDMI (which my old 360 did not have), and a quieter, sleeker, smoother, and better looking console. And one that makes little beeps when you press the power and eject buttons. Setup was a breeze, and transferring my data through USB flash drive was easy. I used a Sandisk Micro and had no issues at all. Setting up the Kinect was easy as well and I find that it works fine in a variety of light conditions, as long as the light is not within a few feet of it near the same level. I am very impressed with the new technology and greatly anticipate where it will be a few years from now. It has already gotten my wife and I playing more games together and being more active - which is a nice bonus. I can see this being a fun thing for friends and family who dont feel like picking up a controller and learning what every button does. Sometimes it is nice to just be able to jump right in and play, and this technology definitely allows that. Update 3/11 - I have just received my console back from the Xbox repair center in Texas. My console kept freezing up after playing for 5-10 minutes. I assume it was some sort of overheating problem, but I am not sure. They repaired it, and it appears to be working fine for the past few weeks. Very frustrating that a supposidly better product still failed with within 3 months of purchase. I will update further with any more issues.

I bought this as a gift for my mom on Mother Day. And she LOVES IT!!! She had been wanting to get in shape for a long time and I wanted to get her something that she wouldnt get bored with. She gets to take care of herself in a way that is low-impact and she can mix it up. Shes purchased a few more games and is borrowing from my library. Not sure how I will be able to top this next year. Also, she is scary good at boxing with the Kinect. Something I never would have thought.

I wanted this to use for dance excrise but I havent got to use it yet I have to find somewhere that has plenty of room but I think I am going to like it.

I bought the xbox 360 kinect from amazon arrived before estimate delivery date with good packaging. best price i seen online. Will keep buying from amazon.
