Bearing retainer set screws will not stay tight! Tightened multiple times. Ruined 4 bearings in the first hour of use, gave up on them and went to a big box store and paid less for a name brand bit to finish the project.

The bearing are not free spinning enough to not leave a serious wear mark on the surface of your work. If you buy this be sure to try on scrap material first. I didnt and it ruined a very expensive piece of countertop veneer that was one of a kind. I changed the bearings out with one of spare and got the same results.

This is the first time Ive used this kind of bit on a router table. Worked very well to cut out a body for an electric guitar using a template.

The bit does work but it is not strong enough to cut thick wood without chattering so if you want to cut 1 1/2 inch stock you may want a 1/2 shank bit

It works not too badly but the free spinning top actually grates a lot. The chuck is quite central It drills holes - slowly but thats what I wanted I wish I had bought a better one

Now I know why they send extra bearings Bearing fell apart after minimal use Be careful and check bearings often Would not buy again

This is a brilliant idea, since it is generally the bearing that goes on these flush cut bits. I bought this, fired up the router, went a couple inches on the cut, and the screw and bearing flew off. Alright, maybe it doesnt come tight enough to use from the factory. I retrieved the pieces, put it back together, tightened it, but the same thing happened. I repeated this process, tightening the screw until the allen key skipped in the screw head. It is thus not possible to tighten the screw any tighter with the allen key. Well, the screw and bearing once again flew off after a few inches. This time I reassembled, tightened to the max with the allen key, then tightened further with my vise grips. The screw snapped off, rendering that bit unusable. Moved to the second bit, tightened to the max with the allen key until it skipped in the screw head, then gave just another 1/8 turn with the vise grips. Perfect! Fired up the router, cut a few inches, the screw and bearing flew off again. So I conclude: brilliant idea, but unfortunately does not work.

Piece of garbage. Only used once on 3/4” oak plywood and it almost hit me in the face. Highly do not recommend.
