> 3 dayIn the past Ive used general purpose 40W appliance bulbs in both my oven and fridge. This is a great replacement for the fridge. It doesnt generate as much heat, and produces more bright, white, light than the 40W incandescent bulbs. Sometimes someone will leave the fridge open and the bulb would start to melt the plastic cover. This one solves that because it stays cooler. One downside with this bulb is it lights things up so well I can see all the old stuff way in the back. So now I have to clean out the fridge. Of course, it cant be used for the oven because of the plastic parts so I still need the old style appliance bulbs for that. Hopefully this will last for many years making it economical as well.

Greater than one weekI didnt realize how dark the inside of my refrigerator was until I put these bulbs in. Now I can see everything I have in there even in the back and lower part of my refrigerator!! Love them and totally recommend them!

> 3 dayThis is a nice bulb for those that dont have issue with light-bulb haze, but we dont care to use this in the fridge after all, because the items / complete inside of refrigerator looks hazy and somewhat blurred. (Must note here - all the ceiling fans / light fixtures / lamps in our home were changed to LED 3 - 4 yr ago = so its not that were UN-accustomed to LED) The bulb is made well / good quality, and the 60 Watt equivalent is much brighter and more light then our original equipment (40 watt incandescent bulb) But seeing into the fridge (for us) is a strain on the eyes, its the same as the haze in big box stores. (and the reason for 3 stars) The difference can be seen in some photos I took of the original bulb in the refrigerator - and this bulb. = But Amazon isnt allowing posting photos recently = since Covid 19 became rampid.
