Greater than one weekThis is a usable and functional low budget center punch. The product listing indicates it’s made of “high-quality stainless steel” but it appears to be run of the mill steel. I saw no difference when I adjusted the spring tension and used the punch on 1/8” thick mild steel and the resulting dimple wasn’t very deep at any spring tension. That said, it’s usable and there’s admittedly little to complain about given the $6 price for 2 punches.

> 3 dayNot much you can say about a center punch. Pros: They work well. I like the colored body b/c it makes the easier to see. Its nice to have a set of two. Cons: They both jammed on first use and didnt spring back. I suspect an assembly problem. I unscrewed the body took the parts out and reassembled. Theyve been fine since.

> 3 dayThese punches are easy to use and work very well. I’ve tried them on brick, block and concrete and they mark well. They have an adjustable spring load for ease of use. Very handy item to have in your tool kit or drill box.

Greater than one weekIF yours doesnt punch holes, you have to open up the front part and change the direction of the spring. The spring that is closest to the hole punch part. For some reason the spring I received way put it backwards so it was catching on the mechanism inside and not pressing into the whole fully.

Greater than one weekThe mechanism in both United are very difficult to work. Need to repeatedly press the unit down more than once to have the spring disengage and spring back to make the mark. Is is easier to just use a scribe instead of the center points that I purchased. Not happy with the product unfortunately. Thank you.

> 3 dayGiven the cost I didnt expect a high caliber tool, but I figured since there would be *two* of them I would at least wind up with 1 usable tool. I was wrong. The first punch never fires and is functionally just an awl. The second punch fired *1* time and immediately became stuck so now its functionally a paper weight. I could likely find a way to fix it but Id rather not spend time fixing a tool before its first real use. Will return and purchase something else.
