> 3 dayMade a small prick in both aluminum and hard steel. Although I thought it worked fine I believe a slightly stronger spring would improve it. I used it full tension but would liked slightly more resistance for a little deeper hole.

> 3 dayThis offer was for 2 identical punches at a low price. Very handy to have in 2 different locations. I dont know how long they will last, time and use will tell.

> 3 dayThe mechanism in both United are very difficult to work. Need to repeatedly press the unit down more than once to have the spring disengage and spring back to make the mark. Is is easier to just use a scribe instead of the center points that I purchased. Not happy with the product unfortunately. Thank you.

> 3 dayIve never used spring loaded punches before, always simple pointed awls. These are great. They easily mark wood. I couldnt get them to mark mild steel, but I dont think that is what they are designed for. Im sure theyd do softer metal like aluminum as well as wood. For the price you get 2!

Greater than one weekGreat punches. Made well. I bought to remove fixed high jet on my echo cs590 carburetor. Knocked old one out, and new one in, in seconds.

> 3 dayI really like these centering punches. Ive been working on a project that involves drilling dozens of holes in mild steel. My old punch (another automatic) never left a satisfying dimple to start a drill bit. It would leave a mark to line things us, but it wasnt deep enough to ensure that the bit wouldnt wonder. Well not these punches! The point on these punches is sharp and suepr hard. The spring has a terrific punch to it and is strong enough to get a good start in any metal or wood surface. My drill bits of various sizes were always right on center following the dimple from these punches. Highly recommended.
