These were a godsend!!! Like most women who pump, I struggled with output until I bought the correct flanges. What a game changer. No more cracked and bleeding nipples. No more fighting the pump for every ounce. Ladies, get measured and get yourself a set of the Maymom flanges if you aren’t a “traditional” size.

This is my 3rd purchase of successively smaller flanges. I use a motif luna which came with 24 and 28 mm flanges. I bought their 21 mm (too big) and maymoms 19 mm (also too big). These 17 mm are pulling the least areaola into the tube of any yet, so I think this is where Ill stay. When I purchased the 19 mm maymom, I bought the whole replacement set as I read some reviews that said that the spectra parts did not fit seamlessly with the maymom flanges. The 17 mm flanges work perfectly with that set, as does my pump. Someone mentioned in a review that it doesnt say the size on the flange- it does. If you look down the tube, it is imprinted onto the plastic at the end. Very happy with this purchase.

I’ve went back and forth between Maymom and Nene supply and discovered I prefer Maymom more. One thing is the consistent breast shield size. I purchased the 17mm but have large boobs (before even BFing) and was pleasantly surprised that the shields were bigger than the 19mm from Nene. Way more comfy!

I use this with my Spectra parts which comes standard with 24 and 28mm shields. I am exclusively pumping and have to pump for over 3 hours every day. With the original sizes, I felt like my nipples were being sheered off from the size since so much was being pulled in. I tried 20mm, which is the only other size smaller that Spectra offers and I was still experiencing pinching pain. I tried 19mm from another company- still hurt. 17mms are hard to come by, but finally no pain. If youre experiencing pain while pumping, try a new flange size. It shouldn’t hurt. It is hard to clean them. Tip: Vinegar helps get milk residue off.

Once I got properly sized and ordered these pumping became a lot less stressful! They fit on my Spectra perfectly and have worked without a hitch since they arrived!

I’m really happy to have a properly sized flange & good quality duckbill valves. While the lid screws onto & “fits” the Spectra bottles, it is NOT as good a fit as the Spectra flange lids. It seems like the tops may have too much tread, so if you bend over & your bottle happens to tip, it will leak around the tread. If you advertise something as fitting, that should not happen. I cannot tell you how upset I was when I noticed the amount of milk that spilled around the tread of a closed bottle. No bueno. I think I will just get flange inserts and use the Spectra flanges to prevent any spilling. Annoying.

This sizing fit much better for me than the standard sizings. It also works perfect with my spectra pump. Wouldn’t even know the difference between the spectra flanges and these if it wasn’t for the brand names on the flanges.

I have purchased multiple different flange sizes from Maymom for my Spectra S1 plus. While I am SO glad they offer smaller sizes than even Spectra offers - these actually dont screw on correctly to the spectra bottles and every Maymom flange Ive tried results in milk leaking everywhere . Its super frustrating and its a significant amount of milk. Unless you use it sitting perfectly still and are super careful when you remove the pump after a session, you will spill milk everywhere. Ive tried the 17mm, 19mm, and 21mm and ultimately while the smaller sizes have helped me out with pump out, the milk leakage is terribly frustrating and disappointing. Ive looked closely and when you twist the flange onto the bottle, it looks like it is slightly crooked. Ive tried all my spectra bottles as my pump came with four. Unless there is another part Im supposed to have to make it twist on correctly, be prepared to leak milk over everything! :/

Properly fitting flanges make a huge difference in your pumping journey. For some reason most pumps come with a standard 24mm flange even though the standard nipple measurement is 13mm (or at least so’s age the internet). My friends and I measured and 3 women all measured between 13-14mm. I was previously using silicone inserts but they made more parts to wash, we’re hard to remove to wash, and weren’t always where I needed them. These are amazing. They fit all of my spectra parts and have made a huge difference.
