I dont understand why some people on here are saying that theyre cheaply made and whatnot. They feel good, the buttons and d-pad are definite, and theyre injection molded with relatively high quality plastic. One problem however, is their unreliability. I used these once yesterday, they both... technically worked... except when I was input mapping one of them it kept spamming POV Up or something. Today, the one that worked yesterday stopped working, and the one that I was having problems with worked fine. If youre willing to wrestle around with technical difficulties, input mapping, etc, this is a good buy.

For older console games, of course SNES especially they work great. They feel a little cheap, but far from complete garbage. Have about 20 hours now on my set (letting the kids game) and if anything, theyve broken in and function better. Cant beat them for the price. Youre obviously not going to want this for newer consoles beyond the SNES.

Works great for any platformer game and feels like the old SNES. Ive always had issues with other controllers and their DPad. They always felt cheap, hard, and unusable. This controller feels like the smooth rubber designed for the SNES back in the 90s This one doesnt have thumb sticks like other brands. But the feel is spot on.

I’m actually really impressed by these. For the price the buttons all feel good and worked well with my retropie. They aren’t weighted, and since old controllers had bulkier electronics, these are lighter than originals. Do yourself a favor and buy a usb extension hub if you don’t plan on sitting right next to your tv though.

So, after playing with these controllers for about 2 - 3 weeks, heres my experience: * One of them completely stopped working * One of the cords came out of the controller case, exposing loose wires (I have to shove the cord back in the case several times during play to make sure it stays there) * Both controllers have a bad right D pad button. When you push it, a good portion of the time itll mimic the down D pad button. This really sucks when youre playing 2D side scrolling games like Mario. All in all, would I recommend these controllers? Sadly, yes, only because their isnt anything else much better out there that Ive come across. If you want to play old SNES games on your computer, then youll be happy for a few weeks. Just dont be surprised when they start breaking down on you. Update #1: the 2nd controller stopped working too a few days after writing this review. Update #2: they sent me 2 new controllers that are supposed to be a better model (why they couldnt send the better ones to people in the first place is beyond me). Ive tried them out, and so far, they feel good and are working good. However, well see if this remains the case after a few weeks of use by my 6 year-old nephew...

One controller came with in working buttons. Perhaps other buttons on the good controller don’t work either… won’t know until I okay a game that needs them

Good value for getting 2 controllers for the price of what some single ones cost. Bot as rigged and well built as some others or the originals. But responsive and definitely a great value.

I am sure these would work well playing any game in which the number of buttons works out. I bought them specifically as part of a Retropi build. Which is a system built off of a Raspberry Pi running Retropi OS which allows you to play any roms from games you may have from Atari/Arcade through the SEGA. NES, SNES and PS1. And they work perfectly, just plug and play. The controllers themselves are well made and feel solid, which is nice considering the price for two. They are a super function, well made set of controllers if you need them for something.
