> 24 hourGreat for ham radio wire antennas. Plenty strong using pulley and 60 lb. counterweight. The other end of my dipole rope was routed over a tree limb. Constant rubbing caused the rope to wear through and break after 1 year. Ive replaced this abrasion prone segment with Mastrant @ $0.16/ft. If you can avoid abrasion this rope should last for years.

> 24 hourThe rope will be used to tie a wire antenna up into the trees. It is strong enough that the wire will not come down from the trees.

> 24 hourOnly a single braid. Not double like had from a certain ham radio store. Sending back.

> 24 hourI use this line to hang my wire antennas for my home Ham Radio station. I previously used paracord, but that led to problems with the line getting tangled and hung up in the branches of the trees that support my antennas, and I also had a few of the paracord lines break during storms, even with plenty of slack in the line. I have been using this Dacron rope for almost 2 years now, and Ive had zero breakage. The rope handles well, and travels smoothly over / through tree branches. I will definitely buy more of this for my portable / emergency comms kit.

> 24 hourThis line is the same as what you might see elsewhere marketed for hanging ham radio antennas. Same material, diameter, strength, etc. This line however is a fraction of the price.

> 24 hourI used the 3/16” Dacron rope to support a 160/80/40/20/15/10 meter multi band wire antenna made AWG 12 copper wire. Each end of the antenna is supported using the Rope and the center of the antenna is also supported by the rope run through a pulley to raise and lower the antenna. The antenna only weighs 20 pounds and is mounted as a flat top at 40 feet above the ground. It’s been up for almost 2 months now and seems to be supported well even in heavy winds. The rope is easy to work with and ties easily into knots.
