> 3 dayIf you are looking for the same double braided polyester antenna rope sold by amateur radio supply sites, this is not it. Take a look at the comparison picture I posted. The 2 samples are both 3/16. The one on the left looks like paracord, the one on the right is this product....very course braid. Not a big deal, right? Look at the second picture....the core of this product is MUCH smaller....the diameter of the rope is mostly the fluffy coarse outer layer. I would NOT buy this again if given the choice, sorry.

> 3 day3/16 X 500 Ft Dacron Polyester Black Cord (#6) -- Quick delivery. Well wrapped on a strong quality spool. Excellent product. Can melt ends to secure braid. Black braid with a white core. No to very little stretch. Knots hold well. Reasonably soft and flexible. Too soon to assess durability. I bought this rope to string 150 end-fed long-wire antennas through trees. This is great for that purpose, but for future similar projects I will probably go with the 1/8 version of the same product. The 3/16 inch is maybe a bit of overkill for holding up end-fed wire antennas; but 3/16 would be perfect for dipoles that have to support a coax center feed line.

19-11-2024This rope hangs outside constantly in various trees. It holds up wire antennas in all types of weather. I have not noticed any issue with stretching or fraying whatsoever.

> 3 dayGot this to make a halyard for my Ham Radio wire antennas. Dacron is the only thing to use if you are leaving it out in the weather. I have had some up for more than 5 years and no degradation.

> 3 dayThis is the only rope we use in our shop when we make T-top enclosures and the like for marine applications. Works and looks good with #2 grommets. Good quality

> 3 dayThis is nice, strong rope that doesnt stretch much. But it is NOT dacron. This product is entirely different. Dacron should not have thin white feathery strands in the center. Real dacron looks and feels really different. If you are expecting real Dacron like you would buy from a vendor with a reputation, you will be disappointed. What they deliver is probably above average strength rope, and seems better than paracord.
