I bought it for a gift. I think it is to pricey but what can you do.

Drawing with a 3D pen in free space is really difficult and near impossible for kids. This mat helps kids and adults make things quickly and with much less frustration!

Grandson loved it and it makes it easier for him to work with the 3D Printer/Pen

If youre learning to use a 3D pen, you wont find a better accessory than this mat. Its silicon so the plastic wont stick to it. It has various raised patterns to help you draw shapes without having to do it freehand. If you want a completely flat surface you can flip it over. Do you need a surface for soldering? Protect your table with this pad. Solder splashes dont stick to it and the heat doesnt affect it. Most of the mats designed for 3D pen work are small. This one is big enough to use as a real work surface for anything that involves heat.

It works awesome with the scrib pen so the child can create things

I have had my mat for about 3 days now and I LOVE it!!!! When I first got my 3D pen I was so excited except I cant draw a straight line with a regular pen let alone in the air!!!! I was so sad because I had such great ideas for what I could make. All of my visions went away after 2 months of trying and not getting any better. My very first try with the mat I made a square that looked like a square!!!! That might not sound like a big deal to you but my first try using the mat was so much better than what I made without the mat after 2 months of trying. All of my visions are coming back. I am trying different shapes and each try is better than the one before. I will post more in 2 months to let you know how I am doing but this mat is so worth it!!!!! I actually think it should come with every single 3D pen!!!!! It is as important as the filament!!!!!

This base is a must buy for those interested with 3d printing pens. This base helps you achieve the straightest possible lines or curves with Divots on one side but if you want a surface to free hand on, just flip it over for a completely smooth non stick surface. I’ve used both PLA and ABS filament on the base and both are stabilized on it but neither stick or get stuck to it, it is extremely easy to pop creations out of the trenches in which the filament flows. I would highly recommend it. The only CON I could find, (And mind you i had to work hard to think of one) was the silicon sticks to most tables or surfaces you rest it on, so if you want to move or rotate the base you will need to dust it in a little talcum powder to free the smooth back from a shinny glass or wood surface. Smooth back doesn’t stick to matte surfaces though.

This has been invaluable for my creations. I love how it is high-temperature resistant and easy to separate from the project. The guideline grooves are very helpful. Would definitely recommend, especially to beginners.

I use this mat with a 3D pen. It has grooved shapes on one side, but the other side is flat. It’s transparent enabling me to slip an engineered drawing beneath and following those blueprint lines.
