Hotep fam. If youre working with a 3D pen this grid is really in my friend. This is the easiest way with your 3D pin to play. You have the good grids you need to work at lightning speeds. Okay maybe this is just us . In theory the item seemed great, in reality it’s been a pain and hasn’t done much other then protecting the table . They flip it over and use the back side more then anything , perhaps for mainly structural it would be great , unfortunately they said it made it harder for them .

I like this product and this base helps you achieve the straightest possible lines or curves with Divots on one side but if you want a surface to free hand on, just flip it over for a completely smooth non stick surface.

This base is a must buy for those interested with 3d printing pens. This base helps you achieve the straightest possible lines or curves with Divots on one side but if you want a surface to free hand on, just flip it over for a completely smooth non stick surface. I’ve used both PLA and ABS filament on the base and both are stabilized on it but neither stick or get stuck to it, it is extremely easy to pop creations out of the trenches in which the filament flows. I would highly recommend it. The only CON I could find, (And mind you i had to work hard to think of one) was the silicon sticks to most tables or surfaces you rest it on, so if you want to move or rotate the base you will need to dust it in a little talcum powder to free the smooth back from a shinny glass or wood surface. Smooth back doesn’t stick to matte surfaces though.

Got this with the 3d printing mat for my 9 year old. Firstly, like all these 3d pens, you really need a lot of practice before you get good results. Having said that, this device does work. It heats up very quickly and loading the filament proved easy enough. You can leave the filament in between uses, just make sure you dont use the back button before warming up the device. The packaging was nice and contained some starter PLA. Issues: 1. The speed button is odd. The slowest speed pushes no filament out at all, and the fastest is too slow 2. There is no stand, that small bit of plastic missing means that there is no where to rest your pen 3. The tip is plastic and has a habit of catching plastic as it leaves. This is not inherent to this pen, but better pens have metal tips where its a lot easier to remove the stuck plastic.

Overall, it makes creating projects with my 3d very easy. I am happy with it so far.
